I was listening to the soundtrack from Gladiator tonight, and I started thinking about movie music. Do you come to attention at the 20th Century Fox drum roll? How about THX -- The Audience is listening?

My favorite, I think, is the rather quirky and hesitant Love Theme from Tom Jones.

What are some of your favorites?

The soundtracks to Beaches and The Big Chill.

The soundtrack to the FIRST Crow. :D

Ohhhh, MOMMA! I think I love you! *Quivering*

"Don't look, don't look, the shadows breath, whispering me away from you."

"Some times it rains inside my head, and the words run dry. The walls are breathing, hands are reaching out to touch my thigh..."
"No, they don't have to take you away."
"No, they don't have to take you away."

But best of all from the sound track!!!

"We walk the narrow path, beneath the smoking skies. Some times we can barely tell the diference between darkness and light. Do we have faith in what we believe. The truest test is when we cannot, when we cannot see. I hear pounding feet in the, in the street below, and the, and the women cry, and the, and the children know, that there, there is something wrong. Its hard to beleive that love will prevail. It won't rain all the time. The sky won't fall forever. And though the night seems long, your tears won't fall forever..."

Tiggs Im sorry sweetie but im in love with your man he knows the words to "It Can't Rain All the Time"!!

Marry me! ;)

Yes! Yes! A thousand times YES!
*Gushing with love, throwing myself into her arms.*
Jen-nay! Er... *Cough cough.*
Tiggs-ay! We're back together again like peas and care-rots!

Yes.

Someday. I want to have another kid before I turn 30, so that gives Jason 6 years!

That would be an afirmative there N.H. We do indeed wish to wed one day. Have to get my babe HERE first...

Well damn I wish you both the best!! Now damnit everyone is hooking up where the hell is my guy??

Mortal Kombat then Heavy Metal
no no no
Heavy Metal then Mortal Kombat
no no no that's not right either
Mortal Kombat and Heavy Metal
*sigh* that'll have to do.

Oh yes, I liked the Star Wars soundtrack too.

Do I still get to be best man?? ;)

Xie, babe, it's up to the GROOM to decide who his best man is. :) Ezzie, however, will be my Maid (perhaps Maitren if she's remarried by then?) of Honor seeing as how she's my best friend. :)

Wow Xander, I didn't know you would want to be best man! I think that would be cool! But its still many years away, so there is PLENTY of time to plan. ;)

LOL Ravenloft. I aint going nowhere.
Just say the word and I'm there.

My picks

Movie Music? . . . Ther's nothing like Starwars (The original - Eppisode IV: A New Hope, coincidentaly only the greatest story ever told on the silver screen) or Rocky to stir the heart.

Album Music? . . . Gimme good old ROCK. Led Zep, Queen, Pink Floyd, 60's, 70's, music with SOUL.

The zither music in The Third Man

I am not sure it is music, as much as a sound effect, but the repetitive high-pitched wail during the shower scene in Psycho

The other sound image I have is from The African Queen the first time when Bogie and Hepburn see that massive German warship on the lake. That view and the music that hits simultaneously are perfect.

Movie Tunes

oh Miss Creamy ... it is so nice to see you are feeling better dear ... and listening to some movie tunes ... :)

A few fave soundtracks in my CD collection are:

City of Angels
Trainspotting
Transpotting II (lol)
Streets of Philadelphia
She's the One
Pulp Fiction (OMG i love "Girl You'll be a Woman Soon", and of course the Dusty Springfield classic "Son of a Preacher Man" ;))

.... and so it goes
______________________________
Girl, you'll be a woman... soon
I love you so much, can't count all the ways
I've died for you girl and all they can say is
"He's not your kind"
They never get tired of putting me down
And I'll never know when I come around
What I'm gonna find
Don't let them make up your mind.
Don't you know...
~Urge Overkill~

How about the Armageddon soundtrack? Aerosmith is very hot...

Though I do like the Pulp Fiction one too.

All-time favorite has to be Purple Rain, no question about that.

Hey I agree with that ... Purple Rain.

I mean what with the song Darling Nikki and all, what else could it be?

But seriously I loved that soundtrack when it came out and I still love it today.

My favorite music from a musical was Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, but my favorite movie themes are "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance KId, and the ragtime piano from The Sting.
