I just caught the last ten minutes of "A River Runs Through It," and it seems like I enjoy it more every time I see it. A perfect ending.

movie endings

Some of my favorite movies endings are:

Dumb & Dumber: Yeah, lets not spend the entire summer on a tour with the National Bikini Team! Shitheads! LOL

The Matrix - Love seeing Kenau Reeves fly up in the air! Whew!

Seven: What a freak out!

There are so many!

I love the ending to Gone With the Wind, American Beauty, Braveheart...lots and lots.

Ghost.....

the matrix

shrek - the rap scene ok so its not technically the end of the movie

Planet of the Apes (The original)
Omega Man
Shawshank Redemption

The Killer
To Live and Die in LA

I like it when the main character dies at the end.

Anything that blows up, scares the shit out of me, or makes me think (which is rare)

I loved the way "Meet Joe Black" ended. But then, I'm a romantic at heart.

Also loved "Sixth Sense", what a shocker.

Heres one of my faves

A Boy and his Dog. Best thing Don Johnson ever did. The ending rocks!

Night of the Living Dead - the original and remake.

Blair Witch Project- yeah, most people HATED this movie, but i liked the ending, it gave me chills.

Swingers-Trent FINALLY gets his...he isnt as cool as we all thought!!

Gone in 60 Seconds- Just something about Nic Cage riding off with Angelina Jolie in that car...diesle.

so so so many more...but looking at my DVD's, those are the ones that jump out at me.

Oh yeah, and Varsity Blues. C'mon, GREAT football movie.

I'm predicting Jar-Jar-Binks will die a horrible death involving a woodchipper in episode 3. that will be my favorite ending.

for now it's We Were Soldiers

THe Empire Strikes Back, hands down. I LOVED the twist, and, almost everything that was bad that could happen, did. Seven lies a close 2nd, because, again, the bad guy won. I have a thing for melancholy endings, because, they're VERY rare.

Memento - instantly morphed a film noir into a meditation on the nature of self determination and the foils of 'happiness'.

Ran - Haunted me for days. In my mind that boy is still fumbling around, so near a sudden fall, calling out...

Thelma & Louise - A daring statement about the freedom of women in man's world.*

2001 - Huh? Still the movie that may have challenged viewers more than any other.

Lone Star -Some foreshadowing allowed me not to feel cheated. Sayles told me a story, parts of which I had not bargained for. The way the two characters deal with it shows the depth of the world we are brought into.

12 Monkeys - so much for resolution.

Spanking the Monkey - because there was a moment in my life when I nearly got in that truck, the jump is easy.

The Wings of the Dove - Emotional nakedness taken to an extreme. Two people are ruined, together.

The Spitfire Grill - it got to me like I was a chick. Fucking A!

I would agree about Blair Witch. The ending amde me respect it more, even though for msot that was the final straw.

* Please note. This is all a lie about Thelma & Louise. The ending marred an otherwise good film. It was a cop out.

One of my favorite movie endings is in "Indecent Proposal" with Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson.

I don't remember the exact ending word for word, but they're both sitting on a pier. Opposite sides of a bench. They reach across it and I think they say something to the effect of "Have I told you lately?". They're special way of saying "I love you" to each other.

Brings back special memories of someone I will always care about.

African Queen - From the wedding scene on

Joe vs. the Volcano - from the wedding scene on that they stole from African Queen

Real Genius - A house full of popcorn

King of Hearts - Let's define insane

LOL. Now, if only I could stand up, and, give that death scene a standing O. A friend at work said to me, "well, what if Jar-Jar dies in the time between ep. 3 & 4. I was like, "Don't even say that."
