No he didn't. Even American's should recognise Benny Hill. Like the rest he was one of Britain's funniest. I actually knew of about a third of these acts.

The _Carry On_ movies are hilarious.

Oh My God...

I have been creaming my panties over comedians since I had panties to cream...

I don't even know where to start, so off the top of my head (in no particular order, and no where near complete:)

Jeffery Ross, Robert Smeigel, Phil Hartman, John Belushi, Bill Murray, early Dan Ackroyd, Monty Python, Kids in the Hall, Dana Carvey, Colin Mockery, Joe Slattery, Mike Myers (when he's playing Scottish), Joel Hodgeson, Gilda, Madeline Kahn (my hero!), Carol Kayne, Matt Groening, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Will Ferrel, Eddie Izzard, Gene Wilder in Mel Brook's movies, Marty Feldman, the Marquis de Sade, and God.
Oh, there are so many more, but I've got work to do!

and I get a giggle from R Nitelight every time I come here ;)

Weird Harold

I know. I was just being snide.
:D

But it is interesting to note the cultural differences. I recognized 13 names on the list, and I didn't recognize any of Hecate's choices.

I'll bet there are a few remote corners of the world where even the names of Ambrosious, Nitelight, and Dixon Carter Lee are unfamiliar to the general public.

MY APOLOGIES, AMBRO. I STARTED THIS SAME ONE THIS EVENING

Rodney Dangerfield
John Candy
Howie Mandell
Sinbad
Redd Foxx
Richard Pryor
Chris Farley w/David Spade
