Fauci will retire right after potential red wave sweeps Congress? I’m sure that’s just a coincidence

Dr. Anthony Fauci announced Monday morning that he would retire from the federal government in December, and his timing could not be more impeccable as it looks all but certain that the GOP will soon have the authority to begin investigating Fauci’s handling of the COVID pandemic.

The taxpayer-funded doctor will depart after spending half of a century working his way through the bureaucratic maze all the way to the president’s top medical adviser and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) “to pursue the next chapter” of his career.

What a coincidence that his “next chapter” starts at the same time Republicans could be starting investigations into his career as a public servant.

He was already planning to retire this year.

It's probably because he spent half a century trying to keep the American public safe and you retards wouldn't wear a fucking piece of cloth on your face.

He can still be subpoenaed and prosecuted for the perjury he committed.

I feel bad for the guy. He really was trying to do the right thing in a time of crisis by keeping people safe and healthy, but was working with the best information he had, to make some really tough decisions. And he got publicly crucified for it. He didn't really deserve that, but I can understand why so many people were upset with him. I do believe he meant well.

Fauci will be 82 years old in December.

End of thread.

I think you need to recheck on the "red wave" idea. Even Mitch McConnell is questioning that now since the Republicans seem intent on shooting themselves in the keisters on multiple major issues and Biden is riding high now on accomplished legislation. It's never a good idea to count your chickens early in politics--and especially not to gloat about something that could be dripping down your face later.

Dr. Makaray gets it right again.

“our problem was not that the science changed—it's that it wasn't done.”

“Dr. Fauci's agency failed to promptly fund key research during the pandemic. That research would have abruptly ended many of the COVID

Is there more to the quote, or does your world exist in fragments for everything?

And that is before clicking on it and reading it.

This person, who you are putting all of your faith in, seems to not really understand how research works. They were advocating for pulling plug on all on-going research to go all in for COVID.

If the administration had one consideration of actually finding the answers they could have easily added more to the NIHD budget to have them do much more. But pulling the plug on ongoing projects would have wasted time and money already invested.

Maybe DJT could have actually donated his salary here… instead of his own bank account.

But still, this person has an opinion- and you want to elevate it as some sort of devious thing to back up your twisted alt-right view of things.

We knew you MAGA folks don’t like facts, but you can’t even interpret opinion pieces well either?

Essential re-reading for gloaters - if they can read.:D
