I still remember the day when my father dropped a parcel on our kitchen table. My wife and I were there. I was newly married then. I am a jobholder. My father was a businessman and now is retired by his on account a little early. In theory I was looking after both of them, but in reality he has lot of money stashed away in shares that he was getting, five times the salary that I was getting, as tax-free dividend. He also has an estate in Tamil Nadu which my wife look after now.
So to the incident. I asked father what it was that he has purchased.
“ It some clothes for her.”
I did not like it and said so.
“ Who looks for your approval? This is my money and I will do with it as I pleases.”
I tore open the packet there was an expensive sari, which was of a nice and thin material. Then to my chagrin there were some expensive under garment like a lacy bra and panties. I did not like it and told him that. He then looked at my wife she smiled and came forward and took it after thanking him. She said she like the material very much. She went to her room then came back into the kitchen wearing the under garments and said they fitted perfectly and complemented on his sense of selection which she complained I lacked.
In the privacy of our bedroom I told her in no uncertain terms that I did not like her display. She said
“ Your father is a horny bastard he will touch my breasts as if by accident from the first day I came here.”
“Why did you not tell me”
“My darling I knew he was very rich and this was not doing any harm I knew he will not make any move that would harm the relation between you two so I let it be and when he asked what all dresses I needed I told him I needed saris and then he asked whether I required any under garments so I gave him my sizes there is no harm in it moreover I will get very expensive garments and this can keep him happy.”
After that day she never asked for dresses from me I saw new dresses and jewellery, which were very expensive on her form time to time. She claimed they were all from my father.
