Good riddance.
Ian Brady died.
Just saw the headline and said to myself, "Fata will start a thread."
I just googled.
What the fuck
I wonder is there a doco?
Crimes took place 1963 to 65. At least 5 dead children torture murder for 'fun'.
Government controversially banned hanging in 1964 so Brady and Hindley both got life. Brady spent rest of his life mocking victims families when he could.
From 1985 - 2017 Brady was placed in a secure hospital; without that facility he would have died years ago. It cost about 800,000 a year to keep him there. Fred West and Peter Suttcliffe were bloody awful, but angels compared with Brady.

If you think that you mustn't know the details of what Fred and Rosemary West subjected their victims to. They were two of a kind.
'twas before my time so, if nothing else, you've brought the Moor Murders to my consciousness.
(Wikipedia has an illuminating entry)
They were evil cunts for sure. But I think what makes the Moors Murders so chilling and stand out like no other is a woman lured the kids away and took part in the rape and murder of children, recording it all (bearing in mind it's the sixties) and the sheer loneliness of those Moors where they buried them. And those iconic mug shots for some reason.
Did you see Appropriate Adult where Dominic West played Fred West? He was scarily like him.

Did you see James Bolam playing Shipman? Creepy as fuck. Only a national treasure like a Likely Lad could have got away with it.
Worst crime ever. Chilling stuff.
I did not! I wanted to watch that new drama tonight about the Rotherham child abuse case but am Aliened out. Love Lesley Sharp and Maxine Peake. Who incidentally played Hindley in another TV drama a few years back.
