So I noticed something about porn the other day...90% of the blowjobs given on porn are fast paced. But I always figured that head would be more enjoyable if it's slower, with more careful strokes, special attention to all the right places and lots of tongue action...am I wrong?

I'm sure it ultimately boils down to personal preference, like many other things do. For me, I would enjoy her starting slow, with me in a non-erect state if possible. Then maybe alternate long, deep strokes with licking and tongue-action on the head and up and down the shaft. She could gradually pick up the pace, or go slow then fast, depending on whether this was being done to get me off or was a part of our lovemaking session.

Porn goes quicker most likely because it's porn. They're fucking, not making love.

people have a problem seeing porn as a movie instead of as actual sex. these are actors (good, bad or indifferent) and whenever someone's acting there's always exaggeration of some sort involved. the camera can only pick up so much minutia.

Like anything it is situational dependent. Sometimes either my partner or I will either say what they want or talk (when possible) for 'feedback'.

It all depends on the purpose of the BJ...

If it's just part of foreplay, then slow is great... Teasing here and there... Paying attention to all the right spots.

But, if it's meant to be given to "completion", then it's best to try and simulate the pace (and friction) that the two of you use while having actual intercourse.

I like to have oral start slow, with some teasing and kissing. Maybe a bit of nibbling and sucking, then pick up the pace a bit with some faster licking. My SO and I really enjoy our oral sex, we like to take our time and make it last. There's no point in rushing, we don't have anything better to do most of the time!

As for him, he likes me to really take my time. We usually have to take breaks and come back when rested(the jaw gets sore from being open that long), it can take as long as an hour to get him off. He is circumcised and therefore a little less sensitive and he has practised a long time to be able to control himself in that way. I'm just learning to control my self and he can outlast me most of the time! But I also agree that it depends first on the person and second on the situation. There are times, like in the morning or if we haven't had sex in a long time, that I can get him off in under 5 mins by just sucking like crazy. He says it's not as fun as long slow oral, but an orgasms an orgasm and they all feel great!
