Anyone watch Farscape on the scifi channel? Its got to be among the most fascinating scifi programs on television.

Invisible Man is also very interesting.

OMG

I just got the scifi channel last month, and Farscape has become addicting. I don't know anything about the show or the characters, but I can't stop watching it. I think Chiana is extremely sexy.

I should also point out that I am also addicted to the Food Network, and I can't cook. In fact, I hate cooking. So maybe my opinion is tarnished?

To explain I would need more time then I have to night.

From the intro, you know John fell through a wurm hole, hes the only human on the show. The others that look like humans are Peacekeepers, a race of people that are bent on rule and justice, they are also cold blooded, rather then warm blooded.

I believe most of the story / past seasons are explained on their website. www.farscape.com

I love the series. A bunch of characters I missed that came in last season when I was at school. Glad they are running this season during the summer this time.

i love how they do the same stuff as done on Star Trek, only they approach the situations like non-pansies! these guys got attitude!

like last week with John and Dargo and their "who's your daddy" bit.. or when they tackled that creature that liked lots of light and fired beams of energy out of his eyes and everybody was acting all psycho, and john had to kill it with Dargo's sword while wearing a suit covered in some sort of goop that Xand (or is that Zand?) pre-digested to make it more resistant to all the light or whatever and a piece of Aerin's Prowler for a shield and those goggle things.. i mean, ya just don't see Patrick Stewart romping around covered in green plant-woman upchuck, stupid-looking cap with a sword and a shield, now, do you?

god, i love that show.... and the Invisible Man...

I came into this thread thinking y'all were talking about "Fire Escapes". I was about to leave quietly... then I saw scylis's post...

Daaaaaaaaaamn..... that is the longest single sentence I have ever read. Scylis..... man.... do you know what capital letters and punctuation are?..... And ... how did you figure out whether to use a period or a question mark at the end of that?;)

In this case, I think it is apparent that the words came before the thought. :)

I actually just watched a new episode directed by the actor that plays Chriton .. I'm a big fan! :) As far as trek goes .. yeah, been there done that .. been a faithful fan .. I still say you put the enterprise up agaisnt Wraith Squadron and it's going to be a pile of space rubble in seconds!

~giggle~ Good one Barb. I liked it!

I really loved Farscape when I had satellite. Cable doesn't go out this far in the boonies, so I've been without it for a year. I'm really looking forward to getting cable when I move later this year.

Amateurs...

Ben Browder plays John Crichton, Kwt.

And, Scylis? You wacko. It's not Zand or Xand... it's Zhaan. Pa'u Zotoh Zhaan. And she's BLUE, not green, you geekoid! :D

Eesh. You people make me sick. :p But I loves ya anyways.

Been watching the show from the very, very VERY beginning. Any questions about it should be directed to me. I AM the expert. *giggles*

i know she's blue! the upchuck was a pale seafoam green! ("plant-woman" was an adjective.. forgot the fucking comma) i've watched it from the very begining, too, crazy!

but now i feel so very cold inside, and i must go to bed...

*tries to hug Scylis as he wanders away*

Hope no one took offense to what I said.. I was only kidding...

Hard to believe it's made by the same guy's who did the muppet show, I know we've had it here for a few year's and my best friend is a huge fan.

lol True. But it's not so hard to believe when you also consider that they're the same company behind Labyrinth and Dark Crystal.

I'm glad we have Sci-Fi channel over here now. Got tired of always having to ask my friends to record it for me so I could watch it the next day.

Farscape is a damn good show, have never missed an episode yet.

I thought this was the funny little comic then I realized that is farside, which is very funny.

So, Nope, never saw it. I watch about zero t.v. lately, but maybe I'll check it out with all the recommendations.

Thanks for all the replies, didnt realize we had so many fans :) woot. MORE FARSCAPE :)

Where's Kitten Eyes at? I know she's a Farscape fan also. Afterall, we were in the same SRP threads back in the day. :D

Since the Grammar Police have invaded this thread, Ren, leave off the word "at". ;)

Feeling nostalgic? I reread some of those thread a while back. I like our version better. (Meet me in the prowler in an arn.)
