While I've made a post in the editor's form seeking an editor for my current series, I was wondering if there are fellow erotic writers in the fantasy category who are looking for alpha/beta readers or a feedback group that are fellow writers. A place where we can all weight in on each other's work.

Admittedly, I do editing for a story series here but think that committing to more line editing would render me unable to produce the editing feedback in the time window of 3 days that the author and I agreed upon.
Unless of course you're comfortable with getting feedback in 6-7 days (depending upon length), in which case a full editing reciprocation would be doable.

While I love my readers and the insights that early readers give, sometimes it's possible for them to notice there's some issue without being able to put their finger on exactly what.

I have joined a writer's discord but the usual length of works that can be critiqued is around 6 pages (compared to the 30 page chapters I produce).

Unfortunately, there aren't many fantasy writers in erotica land, and even fewer who visit the forum.

I always have too many irons in the fire nowadays to do any full second reads, paying attention to grammar in more than a cursory way. Impression reads might be doable here and there.

Overall feel, things that jumped out at me, things that confused me... Stuff like that.

Hmm I am definitely within the fantasy category more often than not, though I like to stick my fingers into all of the pots :)

I might be interested in this, btw.

How does a discord sound? I usually hang around on it as there's some general writing discords that are really useful.

Is that a thing hip youngsters do these days?

My thoughts exactly. Is that some kind of forum?

I'm not good with social media. I've used Facebook for about six months last year before deleting my account. It just wasn't worth my time. So many people trying to advertise so many things.

I hate advertising. And yes, I know that's a bad trait for self-publishing. No advertising, no one reads your crap. But if I'm annoyed by all the noise, most other people are too, right? I don't want to inflict more annoying bullshit on others. It's a vicious circle.

Speaking of which, I wouldn't mind a beta reader for my current opus "Rembrandt Legacy II". Turnover time isn't much of a factor yet, since I'm in the drafting stage still, but a quick look at how my wordiness might impact story flow would be appreciated. PM if interested.

Discord is just a program where you join a server, you get access to text and voice channels.
It's not really a forum, more of an instant messenger but you can just easily drop files and all the messages are there that people can just scroll up and see.

It's a lot like IRC, for those who remember that.

Inner 12 year old? Damn, if you were 12 when you used IRC, then I feel REALLY old.

No, I took my internet baby steps in 1993 or '94, at the tender age of 19. I was among the first to have an e-mail address at our school. And a few weeks later they banned me from the IT room because me and a few buddies got caught playing Doom. Our Novell network was rather unstable and we crashed it while next door a class was writing an important test. Fun times.

Writing Circle link

Because I'm unsure of the whole 'don't promote links outside literotica' I've sent PMs to those expressing interesting in this thread.

Must confess, I'm interested. I'm bonking my head against a story currently, and it's to that stage where you write terribly for writing's sake and figure it can be made good later, damn the grammer.

I'm interested. I started a fantasy series but my progress has stalled. I'll add a link when I get back to my PC, just in case anyone wants to take look. I decided to substantially rework the next chapter, and that's where I ran into a wall.
