Fantasy Christmas Gifts

Your best friend from childhood just took his company public.

Overnight, he became a billionaire.

His wife just called you and said he'd asked her to call and find out what you wanted for Christmas. He wants to spread the joy, so your gift has to be between $100,000 and $1,000,000.

It can't be cash or debt repayment or anything like that.

He is also donating a million to whatever charity you ask him to.

But his gift to you has to be for you, and a bit selfish and indulgent.

What do you tell her you want?

Let's see...in that movie Demi Moore cost $1,000,000 for one night right? Was that before or after her boob job?

Who's worth a mill today? Naomi Watts? Monica Bellucci? Sophia Jane?

Gotta think on this...be right back.

Oh, can get the Hummer too?

I want a house in Santa Barbara, furnished.

....and a restraining order. ;)

And, of course, the charity is Pine Ridge.

A credit card. With a small limit. I found something I was dying to send to the goose, but I don't have a CC and I can't get it with cash :(

http://www.aflac.com/us/en/holidayitems.aspx

So if I could have something for Christmas, it would be the ability to send a few small tokens to those I love.

Especailly Min, Mats, Lucky & Vella, Abs and Cloudy.

A furnished condominium. And a trust fund that spits out about 50 grand a year to live on.

The donation goes to the Canadian Association For Children With Learning Disabilities.

I need the money, to invest in my own biz- any frivolous gift at this time would only send me around the twist. I am barely surviving, and my company is severely underfunded.
Once I get it off the ground, however, a shopping trip or two would be a lovely thing- clothes, liposuction, a couple new tattoos, three years in the Bahamas or Cheng Mai...

The donation goes to the Children's Memorial Hospital here in Los Angeles, for the purpose of helping the doctors there buy the damn thing away from the Hilton which just purchased it to raze for a new hotel complex- one of the top children's hospitals in California!!!!!

Ok, for a rang of 100K to 1m, I would need a triad of gifts. One would be a Aston Martin, lovely sexy car, two would be a tablet pc (they just intrique me to no end) and three would be tuition to get my certifications then Master's degree.

And I'd like the charity donation split equally between Pine Ridge (thanks cloudy) a local youth organziation and the Susan Komen breast cancer research.

As much saltwater sailboat as I could get for the money.

I think I'd send the money to the SPCA.

A two-story log cabin with a wrap-around porch and a balcony, completely furnished with rustic wildnerness type furniture and decorated with a western theme, set before either the mountains of Colorado or somewhere in Montana or Wyoming with enough land to house at least a hundred head of Arabian horses.

The charity would have to be something to do with the education of children. I'd have to research it more. :rose:

A secluded mountain retreat -- off the grid -- wind/water/solar power -- rustic but with all the creature comforts. Huge stone fireplace(s). Lots of guest rooms. Lots of hammocks. Big Jacuzzi. Big kitchen.

The donation goes to Children's Neurobiological Solutions: www.CNSfoundation.org

No fair, Honey. You have to spend it on a gift.

Force yourself!

Thank you Dr. M. for reminding her of the rules i.e. his gift to you has to be for you, and a bit selfish and indulgent.

A nice two-story house with loft in the suburbs of Denver with a nice llama and alpaca farm attached.

Charity . . . the Humane Society of the United States

Can't be selfish and indulgent untill I know my people are safe and secure, sorry.
I could ask for a big house, and then sell it in a hurry at a loss so as to have the cash I need. What's the sense in that?

I just meant this thread to be an escape, momentarily, from reality and let us be self-indulgent for a moment.

No worries. Have your house, and flip it if that is what you want.

Merry Christmas :)

A nicely set up condo building with at least 20 units here in South Florida. Surrounded by a large, razor wire topped wall. Call it A place in the sun.

Donations to go to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

A house with plenty of rooms for me and my cat, a white Hummer, definitely a shopping spree for things for the house and for my cat.

The charity i'd give to would have to be Easter Seals to help disabled children.

There is 500 acres for sale not too far from me. I'm thinking $800,000 would buy that land, spend the remainder on building a house and barn on the land.

Money goes to Woodland Wildlife Rehabilitation. The lady that runs it takes in injured wildlife, nurses them back to health, then releases them if possible. If health is possible, but release isn't, she cares for them until they die. Monica does this purely out of love for the animals. She runs this whole operation from her house and back yard.
