Many moons ago, the local rock and roll radio station had a feature at night called "Fantasy Album Side." You sent in the six songs you'd want on your, duh, fantasy album side. Okay. Albums. I'm giving away my age *shrug*

Update it to CD's. What 10-12 tracks would you want on one CD? Mine sort of have a theme:
1. "Let's Get It On," Marvin Gaye
2. "I'm the Only One," Melissa Etheridge
3. "Layla (unplugged)," Eric Clapton
4. "Damn I Wanna Be Your Lover," En Vogue
5. "Cherry Pie," Warrant
6. "Black Cat," Janet Jackson
7. "Urgent," Foreigner
8. "Her Strut," Bob Seger and the SBB
9. "Pour Some Sugar on Me," Def Leppard
10. "Pearl Necklace," ZZ Top
11. "Black Velvet," Alanah Miles

hint hint: they all involve dancing...of the horizontal variety ;)

So - what're yours?

I suppose one of them coulda covered the other...but I'm listening to it right now on EV3. #4 track. Another good one is Don't Let Go. Damn, better go wake up hubby...;)

I love topics like this!

I love hard rock/heavy metal, so my CD would have the tracks that really get my blood pumping. I limited myself to 1 song per artist (very difficult), and here's what I came up with:

1. Enter Sandman - Metallica
2. Would? - Alice in Chains
3. Cold Sweat - Thin Lizzy
4. The Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden
5. Welcome to the Jungle - Guns 'n Roses
6. Superunknown - Soundgarden
7. Lights Out - UFO
8. Balls to the Wall - Accept
9. Bulls on Parade - Rage Against the Machine
10. Electric Eye - Judas Priest
11. Night Prowler - AC/DC
12. Whatever - Godsmack

Yes!!!!!!

I think I love you Ticklish Girl!!!

I am teaching myself "Run to The Hills" as I type this...

1. Run to the Hills-------------Iron Maiden
2. Pinhead----------------------Ramones
3. Nutshell---------------------Alice In Chains
4. Cherry Pie-------------------Warrant (we are gonna cover that one too)
5. Rime Of the Ancient Mariner--Iron Maiden
6. Some Lie 4 Love--------------L.A. Guns
7. Rock-n-Roll All Night--------Kiss
8. Revolution Calling-----------QueensRyche
9. Rock-n Roll Hoochie Koo------Rick Derringer

I love all these choices. I may have to get some more CDs, expand my list a little. Thumper, I love the Operation Mindcrime CD!

The Mindcrime CD was what really threw Queensryche into Mainstream music for a while.......it was even better LIVE.

So many interesting flavors and so many different tastes that broaden everyones horizons on the compilation lists for a CD......this could be an inspiring thread to wake up the old music taste buds that have been hibernating....

3. Smooth - Santana w/Rob Thomas
4. Standing Outside the Fire - Garth Brooks
5. Let's Go Crazy - Prince

Sort of an eclectic collection, but what the hell.

Kitten Eyes, Dokken used to be one of the best. I still listen to them as they were a very talented group. Not to mention they rocked live. Saw them in the Capital Center in DC with ole Twisted Sister.........as a matter of fact I did a special "appearance" with a band a couple of weeks ago and did backing vocals for them on their cover of "In my Dreams" and "Into the fire"........ :)

Celestial those are some cool ones too.........tomorrow will be a posting of my "lighter side" compilations....

No sh*t Kitten Eyes? What was that back in '85? Small world isn't it? What a show....and how the heck are you putting up my quote? I am a newbie here and have not looked and figured out how to do it yet.......any clues?

At the risk of looking really silly, what quote? As for being a newbie, you're doing an excellent job. Welcome to the BB and all that.

The concert, yes, I had the most ungodly crush on George Lynch. It was an experience.
