It is sunny.

Let's start with the fact that when it's warm or hot weather, you start sweating, so it's not just a case of slamming the window shut so the AC air doesn't escape.

But more importantly, what's your alternative? Not everyone can afford high electricity bills. Not everyone. Hot air still exists and I'd like to see someone provide an alternative to any situation of overheated stuffiness that violates your body's comfort. In absence of any such utility air condition it would seem that fanning would be practical and delicious.

What types of fans do you have/use/own? I have a large floor model Vornado that does the trick.

You may get just as much if not more benefit from a dehumidifier. Any dewpoint temperature above 60 - 63 degrees is going to feel humid with almost any relative humidity reading. Your body cools itself not be perspiring, but through the evaporation of perspiration. Electric fans do that, but so do dehumidifiers. And you don't have to stand in front of them. :)
