Loving this post, but am too uneducated to get most of it.

My favorite opening line is too easy -

'Call me Ishmael.'

But also, from one a my fav books -

'We are talking now of summer evenings in Knoxville, Tennessee...'

but my all time fav line is from the last page of a book -

'for a transitory enchanted moment man must have held his breath in the presence of this continent, compelled into an aesthetic contemplation he neither understaood nor desired, face to face for the last time in history with something commensurate to his capacity for wonder.'

I like the capacity to wonder part.
