Bartholomew “Bart” Collins was getting a little fed up with College life. Oh he guessed he had no right to complain. After all he was the Quarterback for the football team, Starting pitcher for the baseball team and clean up hitter with a batting average of .420. He was getting straight A's in all his subjects, he was invited to all the major parties, everyone knew his name, and he had an amazing girlfriend. The only problem was he had not asked for any of it.

He came from what was termed 'Old' money. Both his parents came from stinking rich families and together they had more money than they knew what to do with. Yet they had made sure he and his twin sister (Fraternal not identical) had gotten the best education that money could buy. It had not stopped at the schools either. Home tutors, computers, software, sports instructors, music lessons, art appreciation, whatever they showed an interest in they learned.

By the time he was ten, Bart knew fifteen languages, could balance his Fathers and Mothers accounts (No mean feat) and was working towards his black belt in Karate, Judo and Jujitsu. He was also an accomplished runner, swimmer and chess player.

Still he and his sister had enjoyed their childhood. They had been able to do whatever they wanted, never being forced into anything. Instead they had been encouraged to learn and it had all been an adventure to them. They might see a sport on TV they had never seen before, and a day later they would be playing it. They had seen divers scuba diving on a reef, and they first learned in their pool and then after a month they were in the Bahamas doing the same thing.

By the time they got to High school though they knew they were different, even from the other rich kids and chose to hide it. His sister even more than him. He tried to draw her out of her shell but to no avail.

He thought going to College would bring her out and so they had got a small place off campus together. It wasn't far away, but it was quiet and away from the noise of Campus life. However she still stayed holed up in her room and he got tired of waiting for her to join him in the big bad world.

He had joined a few clubs that interested him, then had started swimming, which had led him to meeting a few guys on the football and baseball teams, which had led to him trying out, which had led to him getting his spots. He couldn't not under perform, it just wasn't in him. The same way he always got straight A's. The work was just too easy.

Now however he was becoming irritated with the whole thing. Sometimes he wanted time to himself, yet he never seemed to have any. If he wasn't at Football practice or baseball he was studying. If he wasn't doing that, he was at a party or out with his girlfriend.

The strange thing about that was he couldn't remember even getting her. It just seemed that one day she kind of appeared in his life and they were dating and everyone seemed to know they were. He had gone along with it because the sex was great. Hell the sex was mind blowing and available at any time, and he did mean any time. Hell he had called her up at 3 in the morning one time and she had been at his place in ten minutes.

Still there had to be more to college than this. Besides his Sister still had not experienced anything and he had promised his Mother and Father he would get her out more. He had been keeping an eye on her, and he had checked to make sure she was attending classes and passing.

As usual she was getting A's just like him, but she was more artistic than him so they had no classes together. Perhaps it was time they had a talk. Besides he had started to hear rumors about her and some guy and he knew he was definitely going to have to meet him if this was true.

Heading down to her door he knocked on it. “Hey Sis it's me open up. I want to have a chat with you. Come on out for breakfast. I will make your favorite.”

Luna Collins was deep in her game on her game on her computer when she heard the knock on her door. Luna then saved the game before turning it off, sighing and putting her long black hair into a ponytail and going to the door, looking at her appearance in the mirror beforehand. Luna had brown hair to the middle of her back, right now in a ponytail and electric blue eyes, which were covered with glasses. Luna also had milky white skin, not too pale though, Luna did care about her health, just not her appearance in baggy black sweat pants and from what everyone could see, a baggy lightweight black jacket, though under it she had on a snug black top that had short sleeves. After taking a second to see she was okay, meaning she didn't look like his bimbo girlfriend Luna opened the door, peeking out to see her brother. Now for the hard part.

"Yes brother? If you want to chat, you can do so now, I'm not hungry right now." To tell the truth Luna was hungry, and he knew what to fix but Luna didn't want to spend too much time with her over-achieving brother, and his bimbo girlfriend. Luna actually had called her that once and got yelled at by her brother, who annoyingly still lived with Luna. Why? Luna wasn't really sure, except for the part where he kept trying to drag her out of her room and onto the streets. Actually the only reason Luna ever left was to get food, food that she could cook. Which contained of microwave stuff, ramen, spaghetti and macaroni and cheese. Luna also could do boxes of brownies and cheesecake, cheesecake being so yummy and Luna's favorite dessert. With strawberries on the side too. Back to the present Luna sighed though, knowing she wasn't getting out of the breakfast and started toward the kitchen, keeping her head low and hands in pockets, chewing on her lip as she sat down at the table, knowing this was probably another "get out of your shell sis" conversation that Luna was probably going to daydream through.

Bart sighed as he looked at her. He couldn't remember the last time he had seen her in anything other than clothes like these. Actually it would have been at Christmas time at their parents place when she had worn that cute dress their mother had bought for her. He had actually walked into the room and looked around for her after assuming the girl standing beside his mother was another one of the many family members he was being introduced to that day.

He smiled still remembering the look of shock on his face and then his sisters as he had blurted out, "But you are so beautiful, you can't be my sister."

Oh she had beaten him up for that comment and had never let him forget it. Still comparing that girl to the one standing before him was like comparing night to day.

He followed her into the kitchen and started to make a pancake batter, then let it rest while he sliced up strawberries, and got raspberries, blackberries and blueberries ready. Then he whipped up some cream and put the skillet on to heat with a good nob of butter.

As he waited he looked at her. "Okay Sis here comes the lecture. Stop sitting in your room all day," he told her sternly wagging his finger at her. Then smiling he turned back to the pan. "Well that was it. I am sort of sick of talking to you and you not listening so I thought I would make it short and sweet this time."

He poured the batter in forming two large cakes and waited. "Still I want to know some things. Lately I have heard some rumors that you have been seeing a guy. Now c'mon we agreed. What's his name, where is he from and what's he studying?" Bart asked as he flipped them over.

He waited a little bit, flipped them onto a plate, added the fruit and cream and set it in front of his sister. "And yes this is a bribe, so spill," he chuckled as he went back to make more.

Luna watched as her brother started making breakfast, he was always so good at it. Luna wasn't that bad, but she was nothing like her brother. It made her wonder sometimes if they really were brother and sister. That however was not good thinking when you were attracted to your brother so Luna pushed that wondering thought away. Luna then heard her brother speak and was actually surprised. Oh so he had caught onto her, okay. Then he continued and Luna got slightly irritated. She gets on friend and her brother thinks she has a boyfriend? Luna huffed as he set the plate in front of her before talking as she started putting some of the cream on the pancakes, before putting some of the fruit on. "First of all he is only a friend, someone that actually talks to me with how I look and isn't afraid to be ridiculed for it. Second his name is Damien, he is studying art like me, is in all my classed and third, he is from Florida. Also, keep your nose out of it, I'm sure you have girls that are friends that aren't your girlfriend and I don't ask about it do I? No. Even if you didn't have your girlfriend I wouldn't ask because we AGREED we would bring them to meet, and let your sibling go on with their lives, even if we don't approve of their "significant" other."

Luna made quotes in the air as she said significant, knowing her brother would know she is talking about his stupid girlfriend. Probably her brother would be stunned to, it had been awhile since he had heard her sharp tongue. Seriously though? She didn't ask about every person he was hanging out with. She gets one friend and he asks? Sure the guy is hot like him, though really nice to Luna, though he had seen her when her glasses had come off, but he had talked to her before that. Anyway though he was not a boyfriend, Luna was too attracted to her brother to be attracted to anyone else anyway, but Damien hadn't asked either, though Luna hadn't hung out with him outside of class yet. Luna quickly finished her two pancakes and finally, since her brother brought him up, maybe she would get out of her shell, if only a little and hang out with Damien outside of class. Luna then spoke again. "Okay brother, you want me out of my shell so bad, I'll hang out with Damien outside of class." Luna then looked directly at her brother as she stood up, not slouching, at her full height, still shorter then her brother. "At least he has time, and isn't too busy with other things to actually have time to hang out. Like someone else I know." Luna stayed for a second more, making it clear, though she had never actually said it before, his always being busy had hurt her. Luna then ran upstairs and to her bedroom, locking the door, being very grateful for the lock. Her brother had also promised not to use his key to ever get in there, this room being her safe place.

Bart had stood there and taken her yelling about Damien. It was true, he had not bothered to find out if he was her Boyfriend or just a guy she was hanging out with. He had just been told by a few friends that his Sister had been seen with a guy and immediately his brain had leaped to that conclusion and he had gone into full protective mode.

It had always been this way. Even as kids when she had been more outgoing, he had still been the more adventurous one but he had always looked out for her. If she was troubled by a dog, he chased it off. She got stuck on a problem, he helped her through it. Whatever she needed, he was there. Now the thought of someone else in that role sought of sent a chill up his spine.

He knew his Sister was beautiful, but was sort of glad she hid it. As long as she stayed in her room, hid herself behind her baggy clothes and her computer screen then no one else would find out. Sighing he began to knock his head gently on the wall. Damn. He was not supposed to have these sorts of feelings about his sister. He should be happy she had found someone she liked and who liked her. Maybe he could get her out of the house more and experiencing more than what was on a computer screen.

The wail of the smoke alarm brought him back to the real world and cursing he hastily took the pan off the stove and looked at the burnt pancakes. Grumbling he scraped them into the bin then gave up on the whole thing. Walking back to his room after tidying up he began to think of his life.

Maybe he should just give it all up. He wasn't really learning anything, in fact he could probably teach most of his classes. He only did sports because he enjoyed them, but lately they seemed like a chore and the fun had gone out of it. Hell even his girlfriend was not what he wanted. She couldn't talk about anything he was interested in, instead she just seemed to want to be seen on his arm at parties, go off and talk to other girls and then fuck him silly any time he wanted it. All she really talked about was the things she would do when he hit the big time as a NFL quarterback. He had stopped telling her months ago that he had no interest in becoming one. In fact the only reason he was still with her was to get his mind off his sister and that was not really working anymore.

He crashed out on his bed and wondered what he should do. If he left college he wouldn't be able to keep an eye on his sister, but if he stayed he was going to go nuts. There had to be some way out of this dilemma, he just had to think.

Luna sighed as she went to her computer, feeling bad about yelling at her brother. Yes he had jumped to conclusions but that really wasn't a reason to yell at him about it. Luna tried not to think about it though as she put in her earbuds and went to her game on her laptop. One good thing about games and books, manga and normal, Luna could feel as if she wasn't in this world. This world being the one where she was a good student who stayed in her room most of the time and wore baggy clothes. On the game Luna could feel like she was someone else, even just for a little bit. Luna kind of dreaded the real world, but knew that fantasy worlds were just that, fantasy. Not real. If only this world could be like a fantasy world, Luna thought as she played her game.

A little while later though Luna got hungry and took her phone downstairs with her to the kitchen and grabbed a package of ramen, getting out the pan, the squeeze tube garlic and ginger and soy sauce. Luna had always done ramen a bit weird, putting the squeeze garlic, ginger and soy sauce in, and the packet of flavoring in before turning on the heat and waiting for it to boil. Then when she put the noodles in, all the flavor from those ingredients would go into the noodles, well at least a little more. Finally when it was done Luna got out a bowl and poured the stuff in, before sitting down to eat it with her chopsticks. Luna was about to eat when her phone dinged, signalling she had a text message. Curious Luna picked up her phone and saw it was from Damien. Huh. Luna looked at it and was surprised. Damien was actually asking to hang out, it was to go see some of the art at a gallery, and Luna smiled a little, texting back sure before going to eat her ramen. To tell the truth Luna wasn't really excited so much to see Damien as the art, it always got her inspired to draw, and that was a good thing. Really if her brother wanted to go to the gallery with her instead she wouldn't mind, preferring that over Damien. Luna actually would have said no, if her brother wasn't so insistent on her getting out of the house, only with words though. Luna had no interest in going to the stupid parties they held at college with him and his stupid girlfriend. If he actually wanted to go to something that wasn't a big waste Luna wouldn't mind, but that was not the case.

Finally Luna finished her ramen and sighed, taking the dishes and washing them before putting them away and going to her room and going to her closet. The gallery wasn't till tomorrow but Luna wanted to get ready for it before hand, meaning picking out a decent outfit, which her brother didn't know she actually had. Finding what she was looking for Luna put them in a neat pile for tomorrow, and then looked at the time, thinking she had enough time to play some more and then read a book before doing her yoga exercises, just to keep in shape before going to bed. Luna then went to her computer going back to her game, wondering what her brother was doing before getting completely zoned into the game.

Bart sighed as he sat up and then moved over to his desk. Turning on his computer he waited the few seconds the system took to load up and then sat staring at the screen. He usually logged on and checked his facebook page to see what parties were coming up and to see what inane things his girlfriend had posted, but today he just couldn't see the point.

He looked at the other things he had on his desktop and shrugged. If it wasn't to do with social things or his classes there was nothing. He cracked a half smile at that. It really showed what his life was all about that there was not one game, or a link to a movie site. Heck he didn't have a book reader.

He opened up his web browser and looked at his bookmarks and again it was the same. Everything in there was for his schoolwork, his social sites or (and this really got to him) shopping sites his girlfriend had bookmarked. That was the last straw. When the only thing of any entertainment on his computer was a shopping site his girlfriend had bookmarked he knew it was time to change.

Well first things first. He deleted everything in his bookmarks and smiled at the clean space. Now came the hard part, what to fill it with?

His sister had always been on his case to read those comics and Manga books she liked so perhaps he could start there. He typed in a few key words and watched his screen fill up with sites. Damn, he had never known there were so many sites about this stuff.

An hour later he had found a site he liked, bookmarked it, and had picked a few series to follow even though he had read over a dozen. He was pleasantly surprised at how much he liked them. There were so many different types or genres that he had spent a lot of time just trying to find out what each of them were and then deciding which ones he liked.

Next he did the same thing with Anime, Cartoons and some movies. By lunchtime he had a good collection he was looking forward to watching later. Still there was one thing missing. A game. He knew he really had to try one if he was going to understand his Sister any better.

Leaving his computer on he got up and stretched and then walked down to the kitchen. He saw it was still clean and wondered if Luna had actually eaten yet. He would probably never know anyway, she cleaned everything up whenever she used it so unless he caught her he would have no clue.

Grabbing some bread he made a few sandwiches and then cleaned up himself. He sat and ate then after washing his plate he made his way to Luna's door. If he was going to try a game then the best way to do it was ask an expert. Knocking on her door he called out knowing how into her games she got. "Luna, hey Luna. I need your advice on something. C'mon I don't want to talk to you about boyfriends, girlfriends or school or anything like that I promise. Please open the door."

Luna was reading her manga when she heard the knock and listened, opening her door and sticking her head outside. This was weird, usually her brother talked to her about once a day and then left her alone. Here he was coming again. It was nice but at the same time Luna was wary about it. Finally after just looking at him for about 30 seconds she spoke. "So what did you want to talk about brother? What advice could I possibly give my over achieving brother who is good at everything he does and does everything except nerd and geek stuff." Yes Luna hit on that point to her brother before just looking at him, expecting him to just walk away but maybe he was here to actually try something and did want her advice. If so she had the perfect stuff, even a game he could try out but from what she knew he wanted nothing to do with that stuff. Still Luna had hope for her brother just like he had hope for her, and who knows, maybe she would come out of her shell a little if he tried something for her.

He had looked at his sister and was about to walk away when he had decided he had deserved that. Ever since they had gotten to College they had been drifting apart and he guessed maybe it had been mainly his fault. Well that stopped here.

"Listen Sis, I have been taking a good look at my life and it seems as if I have been living it for everyone else and not for me. Do you know that my computer did not even have one game on it," he laughed. As kids that had been basically all their computers had held. He looked down then looked at her sheepishly. "I took your advice and looked at a few Anime and Manga sites and they are really good. I even found some old Cartoon's we used to watch," he smiled.

He shuffled from foot to foot then just decided to get it over with. "My big problem is that I have gone so long without playing game I wouldn't know where to start or how to play them. I know I don't deserve it but I need your help. Can you recommend a game for me and give me a few pointers. You know the games I like so I trust you," he gave her a genuine smile for the first time in a long time.
