I bought a collection of William Falkner stories. The first one sux. The editor agrees with me A LIGHT IN AUGUST IS fALKNERS best effort.

My grandfgather lived next door to Falkjner at Ole Miss. Falkners daddy and my great grandfather were perfessers there.

I read Ed McBains first story. It doesn't suck but aint a story, its a report A punk get arrested, taken to jail, and questioned by detectives.

William Cuthbert Faulkner was an American writer and Nobel Prize laureate from Oxford, Mississippi.

Light in August is great of course, but I think Faulkner's greatest work is Sanctuary

So his name was Faulkner

You have evidence his legal name ever was Faulkner, since you want to be nitpicky? The story is that a typesetter misspelled the name on the printing of his first book and, when asked after it was print, whether he wanted it rerun, he said "whatever." His birth certificate would have said "Falkner." Who knows how it was spelled on his passport or if he ever legally had he name changed? Maybe you do and can cite it.

The bottom line is that folks fell into JBJ's semantics trap.

His name is William Faulkner, okay

You're not really old enough to be posting here, are you? Such pigheadedness over something like this is a high school sophomore trait.

Ah, but you started it, didn't you, little freshman boy

No, you started the pigheadedness and the show of underage in post 5 (which is amusing, since you misspelled a name on another thread) and quickly turned to an obscenity. I'm putting you on ignore, because I don't interact with underage posters at Literotica once I've identified them.

No, you're not.

Everyone here knows you never ignore anyone or if you do you keep peeking. You can't stand to not know what people are saying.
