Fake female spammers seek your email id, Be Careful.

I know this has nothing to do with personal advrtizment.

But there are many fake females out here, wanting to get your email id. They post their email id, and ask for erotic email exchange, but once you send them email, you'll get a vacation responce [automatic email] from them that "Where I work / study this Yahoo/gmail etc. thing is banned by firewalls, so insted join this xyz site, I'm there online all the time, and we can chat"

Don't make a fool of youself, even if you don't join that site, your email box still gonna be full with spams on mortgages, cheap viagra, and all.

(I don't know where to post this thing, so I've posted it here so that eveyone can read, but mods can move this thread to more suitable place if think so.)

It's been my experience that everybody gets spam for all kinds of subjects no matter what they do. I've given up trying to stop getting spam and focused instead on having a good spam filter so I don't have to see it.

hey nice curves you've.

I didn't visit my Yahoo mail for a week, and when I did, there where 1200 emails in it. all spams,

All that i did was giving my email id to a free porn site so that they send me free pics every week.

Anyway that an old story, I was new to online pornography then.

Colton White would rather preffer to get a new email than taking trouble with spam filters!

Besides, He doesn't have much friends to inform abt "My email id is changed and this is new one!!"

Colton White Appreciates your sexy curves and thanks you for replying to his thread.

Some Spammers Identified

by me,

but looks like Moderators here don't care much about it,

OR are they Bribed by those people?

this all looks like a big conspiracy to me.

Literotica's forum is built upon a foundation of free speech. Moderators have a VERY tough judgment call to determine whether somebody is a spammer or not. Sometimes it's obvious but sometimes not. Also, just because you think someone is a spammer doesn't mean they ARE. Moderators have to consider things like that...false identifications would be very bad for Lit.

Trust me, mods are not bribed by anybody. It might be nice if we were, I am a college student and could use the extra cash! (I am KIDDING.)

you don't even have to visit those kinds of sites to get spam. Just by going to every day normal sites (cnn.com, msnbc, yahoo, etc) you will get it. Spammers and hackers have learned how to embed their code within existing websites (whatever they may be for) so most of the time you don't ever have to even go to an adult site for expample to get spam from some girl offering to show you her tits or see your cock. Pop-ups are notorious for containing adware, spam, etc (I've picked up most of my spam in the past just by going to read the news at CNN but that has since dropped since I have an antivirus program with a pop-up blocker)

Bottom line is you will get spam anywhere you go these days....just have to learn over time what is is legitimate and simply delete it when it comes into your email, if it infact gets past your spam blocker

Thanks very much

For your input,

I use a 'secondary' email for all such stuff [including Lit] so spam it till you can, my official 'Primary' email never gets hurt.

BTW I didn't know abt this CNN news spamming I mean I generally read news on BBC website, so thanks for increasing my knowledge.

Means if your file is downloaded for once, you get one point,

Have you ever wondered why Paris Hilton / Pamela Anderson or any big celeraties sex tapes are available free on such site?

I guess because the guy that uploads it, gets money, when horny dicks like Colton White's downloads the stuff.

Every click you make gives money to someone

When you open a spam email and visit the site, the spammer gets money,

When you click on some link, the guy who put that link gets money,

its not that big, but for 100 clicks they get some 1 to 10 $ or even more.

Imagine how big and deep this business is?

And try to count how many clicks you made on websites, that were useless?

Er, well, I do have other ways of earning money. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I agree 100% with keiffers. It's essential to accept that spam is part of our lives now. You CAN NOT get away from it. It will come to you no matter what. So you just have to deal with it...it is a fact of life now. Trying to fight spammers sounds kind of like Don Quixote work to me.

@Mods

you can move this thread to somewhere else,

And sorry to mods if they think I've offended them, by Suspecting on them.

Colton White trusts no body.

So...we should stop using the internet? I'll leave that decision to you...

I can't live without internet

But this spamming / hacking / virus all is bad.

Some months ago, suddenly Good looking russian ladies started sending me 'hot' email saying that they were looking to marry me !

I hope you people know about Russian Bride Scams, right?

Colton...how long have you had a computer with internet in your house? I'm seriously asking. Most of the things you are talking about were problems back in 1997 or so. People are just used to them now.

I've been using computer since 4 years.

And I'm putting these things for the newbies

I'm sure everyone is newbie at some day.

4 years ago when I started, it didn't know much about anything.

And regarding that Click and download thing, I only came to know about it some months ago.

make a myspace male profile [not set to private] and see by yourself
Within a day you'll get some Russian lady contacting you for friendship and marriage, and I'm sure many people who're new to myspace and such, they'll get trapped.

just like she said, you're talking about stuff that happened way back in 97....I've been using computers since before the internet was the internet, when if you wanted to talk to someone you literally called into someone elses computer......most people that come here these days, and those that use the internet on a regular everyday basis know this stuff and know how to get around it

quite honestly, 4 years experience would still make you a newbie to most people.....considering I work for a computer company and have for 10-15 yrs, this stuff is common knowledge to the regular everyday user, of which 90% of todays users in the US, and other civilized locations are....

Um...I get those anyway. And you're right, she's not a Russian lady, she isn't interested in friendship or marriage. But my point is, there is not anything YOU ARE DOING to get this spam. It is coming ANYWAY. Like I said, your only alternative is to shut off your computer forever.

Here is some interesting information:
http://www.yale.edu/its/email/spam/whyspam.html

Note that it is from Yale University. I know you say you don't trust anyone, so whether you trust Yale or not is up to you.

*nods*

I have been online since 1989 or 1990. I remember when I turned 10 in 1991, and my little online friends were celebrating with me because I turned double digits.

your information is old and pretty much useless these days....sorry

Well but some people I'm sure don't know much about this stuff.
And I agree with you, information is old but not completely useless.

gotta wonder how young this little whippersnapper is.....that or he is just another hacker wanna be.....<YAWN>

those some people are those people who choose not to use a computer in their home (i.e. older people who still enjoy the way life was before computers ever came around and started controlling our everyday lives)

Again 90% of the civilized worlds population know this information and know how to get around it and more importantly ignore it. Spam comes from ANYWHERE you go on the internet, and you don't have to make your myspace private or do anything different to stop getting it. You said it yourself, you have a secondary email that you use so your primary doesn't get bombed with spam - well lemme let you in on a little secret...pretty much everyone else does the exact same thing and have done so for years, well beyond your 4 yrs of internet experience.....so it's not not a new breakthrough

@ Both seniors

I'm glad to have two people here with a very vast experience of internet and computers. But I thought it was necessary to create awareness. [I agree its old info. abt the spam stuff]

And yes spam is not that harmful. [Since I'm not using my official email id]
