....basically, a scenario that has played in my head for a while. A guy and girl agree to marry for convenience but still lead separate lives. They each have lovers (with each other's blessing, since neither of them considers theirs a relationship anyway, so it's not even swinging). But, over time, she grows attached to her phony hubby and her lover drops her. The problem is that he is not attached to her as much, at least not on a conscious level. And he still wants to divorce her and marry his favorite lover. The divorce is part of the agreement, it's set to happen whenever their children are all of age....so what can she do to prevent the divorce....seek to get pregnant again by him, of course (it doesn't count if it is another man's child, per the agreement).
The closer their youngest child comes to reaching maturity, the more the wife panicks and tries desperately to prevent a divorce. Further complicated by the fact that he still likes to play the field and doubts that she could share someone that she really cares about (a major reason that he has resisted becoming emotionally close to her). He sees her as a jealous woman by nature, whereas he considers jealousy foreign to his own disposition. He wants to marry his favorite gf, since she is honest about her motives (money, security, lots of kinky sex) and he knows that she will accept his lecherous ways (especially since she's never pretended to be faithful herself)....he is naturally displeased that his legal wife is putting roadblocks in the direction of his divorce and remarriage to his lover.
Basically a contest of wills....will she keep him and, if so, how will she do so?
