I feel boring...the number of people I've "come out to" is really small because I don't keep in touch with people well, so everyone who knew me as anything other than bi has long since moved on. So one of the few people from my past that found out, to his chagrin and shock, called me a dyke and I got just a little pissed. It was the tone of his voice, rather than just the term. I really don't care for the term "carpet-muncher" on an aesthetic level so if he'd tried that one, I'd have been more than a little pissy. o)

I think the worst I've ever been called is a dyke and a rugmuncher...the latter, as I recall, was by one of my best friends in college. He also liked that we could talk girls together (and ogle chicks together!), and he facilitated my relationship with my girlfriend by driving me from our college down to where I could take the subway to visit my girlfriend every week for a semester. I don't take dyke as a bad thing, though, I call myself that, but it has been used negatively about me.
