Damn, it didn't take long for the moron's to come out of the woodwork, did it?

First of all the poor SOB's don't even know what the meaning of the word is or the core tenets of that particular political philosophy.

Let's start with one of the core tenets. The subjugation of the individual to the good of the whole, meaning the State. A tenet shared with Communism and Socialism, certainly not with anything remotely associated with Capitalism. All of the aforementioned are intensely Nationalistic in nature, not to be confused with national pride although it often is.

So why is Trump a NAZI? Because he intends to enforce the immigration laws? Laws the foundation and structure of which were passed under Democrat administrations by Democrat congresses. Illegal Aliens and Muslims are NOT races, they are, respectively, a state of illegality and a religion. In the case of the Muslims it is a religion whose core tenets are immiscible with any form of democratic government. Are we a nation of laws, or only when the mood strikes us?

What else you got? He's going to chain women to the stove? Really? With a mere wave of his hand do away with all forms of birth control? I don't see that happening either. I'm sure your fertile imaginations will be able to conjure up all sorts of horrors.

All of this rioting in the streets takes me back years to a time I was living in Ontario. The next door neighbors had a daughter my age, L.J. by name, and there being no other 4 year old's in the vicinity we played together a lot. Every so often she'd let out a scream and my mother would run out asking me, "What did you do to her?"

To which I would reply, "Nothing."

I'd get dragged inside, a punishment for having done nothing.

One day my mother turned to LJ and asked, "Exactly what did he do to you LJ?"

To which she replied, "Nothing, but he was gon-to."

Thousands of LJ's running around on the streets behaving like oversized 4 year old's over nothing. "But he's gon-to."

You people are fucking jokes and your behavior is one of the factors that went into the rest of us deciding to vote for Trump.

Is this about Obama taking your guns

I was on this over a year ago:

As for the thread topic, let's go over some of the key elements of the Trump campaign/philosophy:

* A cult of personality, stressing his unique ability to bend others to his will
* A focus on slogans and symbols
* A pledge to restore a mythical "national greatness," combined with an objectively weird insistence that the country is currently very weak and vulnerable
* A reflexively belligerent stance towards other nations
* Scapegoating of racial and ethnic minorities

Anything vaguely German sounding about all this? I may have to do some research.

I think that's held up pretty well, especially now with Trump appointing an open anti-Semite as his version of Karl Rove.

Hey, Ish. I hope you had an awesome Sunday. It was a beautiful weekend here.

I'm afraid I couldn't disagree with you more. No one has compared Trump to Hitler or Nazis and to be honest I don't know where you've gotten this idea to defend something no one has even said.

I dare you to find me one article, post, op-ed, Tv reporter who has even made that comparison.

First off I AM NOT defending the fucking idiots who are rioting. Most of those are anarchist the same group in fact who tore the sit out of Seattle during the WTO riots. Jail is where they should be.

Those who are peacefully protesting are another story all together. They have the right to do so and should be allowed to. It doesn't really matter why, or if any of us agree with them. it's their right. And is the way it is and should be.

From the rumblings before the election there were a hell of a lot of Trump supporters who were talking about doing just what the anarchist are doing now. As far as I'm concerned, had it turned out differently, they too should have gone to jail.

With all that said, let me ask this:
Had the election turned the other way and the Trumpites did what they talked of doing, would you have supported and defended what they did? I have no doubt you would have, but I want to see the 'ol Ishmael two step at work. Ain't nothing like reading a hypocrite's written bullshit.

Using your own words you placed democracy up there with communism and fascism. Democracy is nothing more than the subjugation of the individual to the will of the majority. As for religions, well it wasn't all that long ago when the Christians ruled us with an iron fist, still do in parts of the world, including the USA.

Clearly you have never read Marx or Hitler.

Nice list. All but one I can sum up in the election of 1840, "Tippecanoe and Tyler Too." What in the hell do you think politics is all about?

As far as 'scapegoating' goes, be specific. Running non-citizens who gained entry illegally is not 'scapegoating', it's called enforcing the law.

A will that is subject to change with each election. Besides, we don't live in a Democracy.

There's one more important one, at least, as demonstrated by the OP and most of the posters on the GB:

A Propaganda Machine

It was, of course, essential to the Nazi Party.

All these people who think they were doing something so subversive voting for Trump were like little drones with a Sean Hannity chip implanted in their heads. "Listen to me, only to meeeeee . . . you can't trust anyone but me . . ." It was extremely successful, as we saw. And Trump has made sure to include his own little Goebbles in his transition team.

Heil Trump

This response is exactly what Jonathan Pie was ranting over. We have completely lost the ability to engage in a civil discussion. It' s soooooo fucking much easier to toss around derogatory labels and call people stupid robots. Then...omg THEN we have the utter and complete audacity to wonder why, after being shut down and shut out, and shouted down, they don't seem to be willing to come around to our way of thinking.

This is why we have gotten precisely what we deserve.

Wrong

Pie is a coward looking to pile on the Hillary hating machine, rather than look what is happening in the face. Thought he was a total ass, and a misogynist. And just not that perceptive.

Not all Trump voters; I'm talking about the drones ranting on this Forum. I don't know, they certainly sound like drones to me. Never hear an independent thought process. You hear: Hannity. 20 years of Fox propaganda, the same words thoughts and phrases repeated over and over and over and over. I call that stupid.

Their whining about not being heard, not being listened to, not being allowed to just be who they are. . . (A major part of the Propaganda machine, btw, straight outta Hannity)

What that amounts to is not being allowed to say the N word when they feel like it, not being able to say God doesn't approve of homosexuals, etc. It's a big whine that they have to watch what they say.

That's why the drones loved Trump. He gives them liberty to come out and be who they are.

i will simply say...
don't fuck this up, ish.

the trump election is a seemingly impossible souffle...

the polls weren't so much wrong as...
the vote ( on the top line) was more difficult than could be polled...

more than half of this country is united in hating this election...
this cycle...
these candidates
and...
this president elect.

we can be taught to either tolerate the outcome
or
fight against it.

trump is no hitler,
no stalin,
no mao...
no ho.

but his path to his trump are...?

the comparisons you so hate in your op are representative of...
the factors that brought this cycle to the fore.

just as such extreme factors created
a hitler,
a stalin,
a mao
and
a ho...

it is not the philosophies of the despots that draw the comparisons...
it is the similar factors that created each
and have created a trump...

undeniably, trump is an outlier...
created of a perfect storm
of circumstance and opportunity and despair and disparity...

all of the traditional...
mannequins were rejected.

we are wary of what trump may become;
of what trump has been
and where trump now is
and of how his humility has never been checked...

trump is like hitler,
not because he is like hitler
but because he is like trump;
which is insidious and unbound in its own ways...

his first 100 days will either be
about healing a misunderstood schism
or
about a misunderstood mandate...

the wiley fucker is capable of navigating either...

White supremacists have been drawing swastikas everywhere. They seem to want Trump as a leader.

Of course, Jesus Christ had the same problem with his followers.

Why was he a misogynist? Was it because he pointed out some of the chinks in her armor? That he thought it misguided to declare that one should have a public persona and a private persona? that some among the voting public might cause that to call her honesty into question? Or was it his questioning her use of celebrity backing to drive home her talking points? and if any of these, then please point out what exactly falls into the definition of misogyny? if not any of those, then please point out those statements made which fall into the definition of misogyny. Perhaps he was guilty criticizing a candidate who happens to be a woman, but that alone does not make him a mysogynist by definition.

Unfortunately, it appears you paint people with a very broad brush, particularly those with whom you disagree. I know a lot of people who voted for Clinton, I know a lot of people who voted for Trump. I would never make the mistake of assuming either set of voters were motivated by their alleged desire to use derogatory adjectives to describe others. I prefer to think they are much smarter and kinder than to do such a thing.

I will reiterate. We are faced with a Trump presidency because we the people so rarely even make the attempt to engage each other in honest attempts at learning what makes each other tick. We don't talk, we go about life looking down at our phones, never engaging our fellow man. It's a very sad state of affairs, because until we make the effort to talk to people who think differently, who live differently, who do not share our life experiences, we can never have any hope of bridging those gaps, real and perceived.

p.s. I have never watched Hannity

Because we are dealing with a partially infantilized population.

I don't know what they will do when Trump is sworn in and the world doesn't abruptly come to an end...

I love that two idiots who use emotes and *chuckle* to convey their feelings along with calling women who disagree with them cunts and those that don't embrace their advances whores are calling for maturity.

Yeah, an infantile generation, for sure.

The fact that you are too blind and/or stupid to see your hypocrisy makes for the funny.

now, that's a run-on sentence.
