Only one died on my birthday. She was 31 and has a gorgeous smile in her photo. There are now 1530 U.S. military dead in Iraq. The oldest in March: 43. The youngest: 19. They aren't front-page news anymore, but they deserve to be seen.

(Sorry I don't have access to casualty lists from other countries. If not for the Washington Post maintaining the Faces site, I don't know where I'd look for U.S. figures. Still haven't seen an official count of civilian deaths.)
