Facebook Friend Recommendations

Is there some rhyme or reason to the FRIEND recommendations I get from FACEBOOK?

It's my understanding that they recommend friends of friends you already have and might know, people in the network with similar interests, former classmates if you provided that information and people who live in your area.

OK. I deleted 62 friends, and was wondering howcome they recommend parents of friends, and siblings of friends etc, but not the people I un-friended. I mean, I still have friends but theyre all un-friended (including my kids and sisters etc).

I'm not sure why it is they do some of that silly crap of recommending the family and friends of your FB friends. I have'nt really done anything on FB since they shifted to that timeline set up.
