The characters from your beloved faerie tales aren't as removed from reality as you'd like to believe. Snow White, Briar Rose, Cinderella, Alice, the Big Bad Wolf, Prince Charming...just a few names that managed to slip into collective concious. They left Europe, the Old Country, and found their way to America. New York City to be exact. Living behind the facade of apartments, high rises, and hospitals, the majority of the Fables manage to blend in the with the Mundys (humans). Those that can't, like the Three Little Pigs and Chicken Little, live on "The Farm" protected by magic from the rest of the world.

This is the story of those Fables living in New York. Rose Red's a constant trouble for big sis Snow White. Cinderella owns her own shoe store. The Big Bad Wolf (not so much wolf as man) is a Private Investigator. Prince Charming a playboy married and divorced three times. Let's just see how much more trouble they can get into.

Taken Characters:
x Cinderella
x Big Bad Wolf
x Briar Rose
X Prince Charming
x Rose Red
X Beauty (Belle)
X The Wicked Witch

Profile
Name: Ella (Cinderella) Charming
Nickname: Cindy
Age: 23 (Immortal)
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Personality: Spitfire and stubborn, she's not about to let go of a grudge. Business smart and very intelligent, Cindy goes after what she wants and takes it. Likes to do things her way and laughs off the idea of help.
Appearance: Stands at an average height of 5'5 with a slim build, weighing about 110 lbs. Long legs, tiny wrists, and a proportional hourglass figure. A heartshaped face with a stubborn chin, high cheekbones, pouty pink lips, and a smooth, pale complexion. Her hair is blonde and reaches just past her shoulders, a straight length with a bounce at the ends and long bangs brushed to the side. Sparking blue eyes peek behind dark, thick lashes.
Attire: A powder pink, lace camisole, white linen miniskirt, and a simple white suit jacket that buttons low at the torso to show off plenty of cleavage and the pink lace underneath. A pair of pink glass heels and sheer stockings complete the look.
Quick History: Third wife of Prince Charming (Snow was the first, Briar the second) and decided to keep the last name after the divorce. Owns her own shop, the Glass Slipper, which serves Fables and Mundys alike. Yes, she dealt with the whole Stepfamily bit, but, she doesn't like to talk about it.

---

It was lunch and that meant the "Closed" sign was hung on the door outside of the Glass Slipper, its owner tucked in the back room. Pouring over the latest list of new inventory, Cindy wished that she could borrow a couple of Snow's dwarves to help out on such days. Slurping up the last of her instant noodles and slipping out of her heels, she undid the two buttons of her jacket and hung it up on the nearest chair. She still had 45 minutes left of her lunch before she opened the store back up.

Yes, it was offical, Cindy needed an assistant. Running around the back room, checking off the list as she noted each new designer shoe, the petite blonde munched on an apple. Tonight was another meeting of the Ex-Wives Club, poor Charming, she wondered if he knew that she met with Snow and Briar "Sleeping Beauty" Rose. Not that it mattered; just tea with the girls.

Profile
Name: Jordan (The Big Bad Wolf) Karnish
Age: 29 (Immortal)
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Hetero
Personality: Jordan has a temper that is simply dangerous, and although he is a werewolf persay, he very rarely changes into the werewolf that has terrorized for so many years. He is very determined at finishing a job successfully, he'll huff and puff until the case is solved. However, although he has taken a career as a member of law, he rarely, very rarely stays on the side of the law.
Appearance: Jordan is six feet tall, two-hundred pounds, and extremely powerful. His muscles are quite well-defined and his shirts cannot hide his figure, especially his powerful arms. With medium length dark brown hair, dark black eyes, and an always present long side burns he appears more wolf than man when even in human form. However, he reeks of adrenaline and testosterone and thus very enticing to women. He is very handsome and has slept with more women whose cases he was on than he had solved their cases.

---

Why in the heck was he in this line of work? That was a constant thought for Jordan who found himself leaning always more towards unlawful things than lawful ones. It was probably the fact that he hated those who tried to be as evil as him and did as evil as him that he loved to hunt them down. For so many years now he was a private investigator in the big city, one of the best, although one of the most scrutinized too for his tactics and the 'accidental' deaths that occured.

Walking down the street, like any other day cause he only worked at night, Jordan found himself getting looks from women, constantly, and getting harsh looks from men. As his scent worked towards women to entice them it also worked towards men to hate him. Despite being in human form he was quite hairy, although fortunate for him and the women he had been with he wasn't too hairy. He ate his meat raw as he loved to eat his women. Yes, he had killed before just for hunger, but he tried to hold back more recently as he found himself being watched by the law he was supposedly serving.

As he approached the Glass Slipper, a store he knew Cinderella worked at, although they had taken new identities they all knew each other, he wondered why in the heck the store was still closed. Looking at his watch he grumbled to find that he was early for it to reopen and thus leaned against the wall with his arms crossed. Looking at the pitiful creatures as they walked by his hunger grew and grew as he saw the women, who on this hot day, chose to wear clothes that exposed a great deal of their skin.

Throwing the apple core in the waste bin, Cindy took a sweeping glance over her highlighted list and and then filed it away. Wiping her hands off with a bit of antibacterial, mortals had their little perks, she stepped into her heels and buttoned up her jacket. Fluffing her hair and adjusting her pendant, Cindy took a deep breath and stepped out of the back room. She liked working with her shoes, hell of a lot better than cleaning step mommy's house, but the people could use some work.

The sound of her heels was muffled by the plush creme colored carpet and she frowned when she went to flip the sign. Jordan. Bigsby as she liked to call him. Straightening her skirt, she pushed the door open and cleared her throat.

"Bigsby, what a surprise. Now, don't tell me you're here for the pair of lilac, slingback, kitten heels I just got in from L.A.? No, nothing like that, I'm sure. Well, come in before you scare away my customers. Like I said, new inventory and all."

She grinned, straight white teeth gleaming in a straight row, and motioned for him to step inside. Wolfie often meant trouble; often brought trouble. Cindy wasn't about to deal with it today. She had her meeting today and she wanted to see the girls.

As the door opened, finally, Jordan heard Cindy before he turned to look at her. Oh how he hated to be called that name, she knew it made him mad, but yet she continued to call him it. Grumbling yet again, it seemed to be a normal action by the usually pissed off man, Jordan followed her inside. With his deep voice he spoke, "You know I bring more customers than scare them away, I know you're glad I'm here. Although you know how I hate that name, I'm tired of telling you."

As the door closed behind him he looked around and then looked at Cindy who was showing off more leg than usual with her skirt. "So, what do you got?" Looking around he walked off on his own to look at things although he had no real desire to. He actually had no real desire to be here looking for shoes, in fact he was here to bother Cindy simply because she drew great lust from him for her immortality was very desireable. "You know, you should be more careful letting me inside, you know I don't play nicely with others," he said with no real emotion of any sort. It was just his way of sounding fierce although he knew that Cindy rarely seemed to show any fright towards him.

If she only knew how his animal instinct worked so harshly within his mind she would be much more worried than she seemed. He was always in heat, a pure animal, and the female enticed him so much that his phermones saturated his skin. He knew where she was off to tonight, he was a private investigator afterall, and how he had planned to huff and puff his way in was his little secret.

Aurora

Name: Aurora Charming (Briar Rose, Sleeping Beauty)
Age: 21 (Immortal)
Gender: Female
Personality: Laughing, playful and sweet, she always seems to have someone around courting her. She has only been married the once, insisting that being single is far more fun.
Appearance: She's left her sunset red hair long, it curls at the ends around her shapley buttocks. Her eyes are a wide, innocent crystal green, and the freckles over her pert nose make her look agelessly young. Her perpetually grinning lips are accentuated by a single dimple. She's taller and more athletic than Cindy, but remains, as always, a princess to the utmost.

She runs a small bed and breakfast, The Rose Tower, famous for its rose garden and romantic hideaways. She has an excellent staff and her rooms are sold out months, and for a wedding party in June, years in advance. She likes dressing wildly - anything from Ren-Faire fare to a full motorcycle outfit in white leather, depending on her mood. Today she deliberately went rough, black motorcycle boots under tight patched jeans and a white tank top, knowing that it would bother the girly shoe concious Cindy. The thought of it made her giggle - plus she'd have to pick something up from the Slipper before they went anywhere special, and shopping was always fun.

She made sure the newest shipment of wine got packed away appropriately, snagging a couple choice bottles for the girls, and informed her chef/second in command that he was on his own tonight.

"I have to run, dearest, its girls night!"
"Cindy'll die if you don't pack something decent."
"My red thing is in the case...no not that red thing, the other, the one you liked. I'll just have to pick up some shoes to go with it."
"You are such a tease, wench."
"Don't you have a dinner to obsess over, evil queen? Sandy's watching the desk, but she gets off at 8. You get the phones after that, k?"
"Be good, you. And no men unless you bring one back for me."
"I'll share this time, I promise."

She sped off to Cindy's, new stock always brought her like blood in the water. Plus, Cindy'd need some losening up if she was going to be fun for dinner. Better start getting wine in the girl early.

Name: Prince (If you don't know yet, your dumb) Charming
Nickname: Char
Age: 25 (Immortal)
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Hetero
Personality: Dashing, Cocky and Somewhat gentle. He's a calm young man, but has a wild side. The only thing he knows is how to have fun.
Appearance: Blue eyes, blond (recently died to black) hair, a nice physique and he's always dressed in the latest and hottest fashions.

-------------------------------

"See ya, babe." The dashing young man said, walking out of yet another hot girl's apartment. She just looked at him walked, and stared at his body.

I walked down mainstreet, and I was quite hungry after last night "fun time". I stopped by a restaurant and got one of those breakfast sandwhiches. He walked casually down the street, eating away at his sandwhich. He threw the remains in the bin and got infront a store and through the window, saw a familiar face. "Ah..Cindy." He smiled, and walked in.

"Blah, blah, blah, customers and blah. Yeah, yeah, those girls just want a piece of you. They think, he likes those kinds of shoes maybe I should get some, it's like a Vicky's Secret commercial. Only free, for me anyway. And I shall always call you Bigsby."

Cindy shook her head, seemingly oblivious to Jordan, and started walking around her shop. Most of it looked like a high priced boutique, shoes from all over the world, the latest and hottest fashions. And, for the Mundys, that's all they'd ever get. But, for the Fables, there was a whole hidden room at their disposal. Glass shoes, flying shoes, and dancing shoes (with the proper warnings) were all among the stock. She liked surrounding herself with pretty things and shoes were no exception.

"And you know I tuck away wolfsbane and know the proper charms to keep you from getting out of control. I don't like being threatened Mr. Wolf and you better remember you're still on thin ice with the Mayor. Still kicked off the Farm if I do remember correctly."

Her fingers were running along the smooth leather of a simple black ballet flat, her blue eyes locked with Jordan's. She knew exactly what he was alluding to and after marriage to the idiot, wasn't about to take his crap. Smiling again, she put the shoe back up and crossed the room.

Any other day, Cindy might have been in the mood to play a little. Purr just a bit. But, she really did have new inventory that was just hot and waiting to slink out of the store. That and she had something a little more soft and curvy in mind. No, Jordan just wasn't going to do for the time being.

He walked past the rather large Jordan, and pressed up behind Cindy. "Boo." He said, smiling that cocky smile of his. He took a few steps back, and started

"So, Cindy, how's the single life treating you?" He asked, knowing it can't be better than his. A new girl every two days, haha. Life was sweet for the young billionaire playboy.

Taking a seat Jordan made himself at home as Cindy went on wasting the air with her loud speech that nearly made him howl in pain as her voice really got to him. He hid none of his growls and he growled often, at her comments mocking him, showing her strength, and the fact she had to bring up the whole Farm thing. Damn her. But, that was also what drew him to her, her commands and fierce attitude with him was in his mind her playing sexual games with him. Animals were rough, and thats the way he liked it.

Locking eyes with her he stared her down, although it didn't work as she never looked away. "You really do like testing me, I believe you like making me mad," he said as he sneered. "Unless you have the wolfsbane and charms with you at all times you wouldn't be able to be quick enough to stop me." Sitting back in the chair he wasn't going anywhere and he wasn't going to leave her alone obviously. If a woman should enter he would attempt to woo her, should be mortal it would be easy, although it seemed more often than not immortals came by.

If Cindy only knew what he was thinking at that moment she would have ran for the wolfsbane and charms for he wanted to devour her. He wanted to make her his in all ways, and she would, but it would have to wait.

"Two wonderful, handsome men in my store...just doesn't get any better than this. Jordan, you know Char, and Char, I'm sure I don't need to introduce you to Bigsby."

Her eyes were dancing wickedly, oh the faerie tales didn't tell you that, and her teeth were flashing away, but her tone was laden with sarcasm. Jordan was all right, really, but the way he seemed to stalk her out was annoying. And Char was just an ass. Seeing as his infidelity had been the cause of their divorce, she really didn't enjoy seeing him in her shop.

"I wear wolfsbane, darling, any smart Fable does when she's got Bigsby on her heels. And, I do think I like driving you insane. After all, you are invading my space and interupting my work."

Not after crazy stepmommies and bossy stepsissies was she about to back down from this. She'd scrubbed fireplaces, stairs, halls, bathrooms...no, the Big Bad Wolf could go huff and puff somewhere else. She continued to arrange stock and hum under her breath until it was inevitable that she had to talk to Char.

"I'm loving the single live, darling ex-husband. The girls and I, you know, the other two ex-wives, have formed ourselves a little club. Like the shop? I used your alimony payments to set it up."

More grumbling, Cindy was smart, made her all the more desireable. Relaxing on the chair he watched as the stupid and very annoying Prince entered. "Oh what a great surprise, this makes my day all the more better," he said out loud as the Prince approached Cindy. As she introduced one another Jordan didn't hesitate flipping him off. "Don't look at me again unless you want to have your face removed," he said without any hesitation or emotion really.

Jordan loved the way Cindy was talking to the Prince and laughed constantly with all she had to say. What a bitch, but being a bitch in this way was all too grand. Drumming his hands on the side of the chair he watched and listened to the two talk and converse, being very annoying and intrusive. He knew Cindy would never try and harm him for if she did without reason she would be in big trouble with the Mayor and she would never go against him.

Watching her as she stood there and presented herself in her own fashion Jordan couldn't help getting slightly aroused. It was what animals did and he did have the mind of one. But, he would somehow have to have her remove that wolfsbane herself, or have someone do it for her. Now, how could he have that done? He doubted she would do it herself, she seemed to hate him far too much.

Name: Rose Red
Age: 23 (Immortal)
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Personality: Fiesty, opinionated, fun, smart...Rose believes in having a good time as well as driving her sister Snow White, a little mad at times. She likes a good verbal battle and the more dangerous something is or seems the more she seems to enjoy it.
Appearance: Her hair is a unique shade of red that matches the blood red roses her mother named her after. She'd dare any mortal to match the shade out of a bottle! Liking her hair color she keeps it long enough to frame an oval face with high cheekbones, vibrant violet eyes, a straigh nose and lush lips made for kissing. Already standing tall at 5'8 she's one of Cindy's better customers and lives for spike heels that make her at least 6' even if not a little taller and made her already long legs seem to go on forever. Willowy and athletic she's well toned but still curves in all the right places with breasts that are a large handful and an invitingly heart shaped ass.

***

Rose all but growled as she sauntered down the street toward the Glass Slipper. At her side swung a bag from the same store which was the cause of her foul temper that day. She'd been out the night before and the heel on her favorite shoes had broken off courtesy of a poorly kept sidewalk. Now she had to find out if Cindy either new someone who could fix it or had another pair in stock and she wasn't thrilled with the idea.

Stamping her foot sharply she laughed when a businessman walking past stopped and simply stared at her. Lord but she did love how mortals reacted at the sight of her! Dressed in a silk sundress the same shade as her eyes and a pair of strappy black heels, she was taller then he was and she could tell it annoyed him. Blowing him a kiss for brightening her day she disappeared into the Glass Slipper.

"Cindy! I need your help with some..." her voice trailed off realizing she wasn't the only person in the store this close to opening.

Jordan did not hesitate to rise from his chair as Rose Red entered the establishment. He knew as Cindy was harsh towards him, Rose was not as aggressive towards him as she seemed to find his dangerous side appealing. It amused him so, and made Cindy all the more angry surely to see him giving her attention. "Well, what do you know, a real woman is here," he said and did not hesitate to approach her. "Well my dear," he said as he took her hand before she could choose to allow him or not, "Don't you look simply....ravishing today."

Kissing the back of her hand he then let go and walked past her and behind her staying close to her body as he breathed in her scent through his noise. "Well it seems Cindy has been outdone, surely she does not have wolfsbane on her, what a true pity it is," he said as he walked fully around her staying so very close before standing at her side then. "Red is a favorite color of mine, especially the dark kind," he said with no hesitation refering to blood.

The pheromones sparkled on his skin as he was near to the sister of Cindy, a woman who appeared much different than her younger sister, and much more darker than her as well. "I believe if I remain too close to you for too long I will simply want to eat you up, if not literally, than in a fashion that would.....," he said and then leaned close to her ear and whisper, "that would draw the most beautiful squeals and moans from my lips upon your.....tender skin." Grinning at Cindy he moved around Rose again sliding his finger upon her exposed skin along her neckline.

Rose couldn't help but shiver under Jordan's attentions. That dangerous edge of his always made her stomach drop and warmth run under her skin but she wasn't about to make a spectacle of herself in Cindy's shop and she reach up and swatted he hand away from her neckline while tossing a sharp glare at him. Her voice was cold and more then a little annoyed when she spoke, "When you interested in me for reasons other then pissing off Cindy we can talk. Until then keep your hands to yourself Bigsby."

She knew he hated Cindy's nickname for him and used it deliberatly before stepping away from him. She saw Charming smirking slightly across the room and rolled her eyes. Pushing both men from her thoughts she smiled at Cindy and drew her broken shoe from the bag. The heel had broken off right where it was connected to the shoe but it was a clean break and she so hoped it was repairable.

"Cindy, do you know anyone that can fix this or do you have another pair in stock? It took me ages to find a pair that matched that forest green dress of mine. I don't relish the idea of trying to hunt up a new pair."

She pouted slightly at the thought of having to go searching for a new pair to replace the broken one. Rose had a weakness for shoes and it was rare for her to buy just one pair. She also took excellant care of those she bought so they'd last...well the idea was for them to last as long as she did.

Belle

Isabelle, Or Belle to her friends, walked down the bustling New York street, her sequined blue purse swinging at her rounded hip. Her hair was honey blonde with dark roots and brunette highlights that showed it wasn't her natural color, pulled back in a long tail that fell down her back.

Her face was a pale oval and dominated by her large, liquid dark eyes and soft, pouting lips under a pert nose. She dressed in a casual New York chic. low rise hip hugging black jeans that showed a hint of a blue at the top, strappy sandals and a blue top with a high collar and a few buttons. Belle fit in very well as a Modern 20 something woman, though of course age wasn't relevant to her.

Belle headed for the shop, the Glass Slipper. It was one of those small boutiques on the New York streets, but a discrete place where other Fables hung out. With Beast out of her life, Belle felt the urge to check in with the other jilted Fable women, have a cup of tea, and complain about flighty princes.

She opened the door to the shop and stepped inside, surprised to see it was remarkably crowded.

More and more women came in the glass slipper, and a smirk appeared on my face. Until they moved towards Cindy and my smirk became a frown. I walked to Isabelle, and smiled. "Hi darling." I moved my hand behind her hair, and a rose came into my hand. A simple magic trick. I gave her the rose, "How do you do?"

"Rose! Darling, I'll be with you in a minute."

Cindy had somehow managed to skirt aside Jordan and Char and spent the moments of quiet reprieve making sure the flying shoes weren't making their way off the shelves. They had a tendancy to do that. Slipping back into the showroom, she rolled her eyes at Jordan's display and then promptly ignored him. Which was frighteningly easy when she saw the state of Rose's new shoe.

"Oh, oh...what did you do?! Italian, darling, and right off the runway. Hmmm...very clean break though. Sidewalk?"

She took the shoe from the redhead's hands, her tongue clucking against the top of her mouth as she examined it. Her pout mirrored Rose's and she motioned for the woman to follow as she started towards the back room. As much as she loved selling shoes, these challenges made her work enjoyable.

"Just a little bit of magic should get this all fixed up. Here, let me get comfortable and you won't have to worry about searching for a new pair. But, I did get in a pair of gold heels...absolutely lovely."

Hoisting herself up onto her desk, kicking off the pink glass, Cindy struggled out of her jacket and began studying the broken shoe. Chewing on her bottom lip, the right spell finally came to mind and within a moment the shoe was all back in one piece. A line, faintly darker than the rest of the shoe, showed where the break had been, but overall it looked wonderful.

"Well?"

"Well?"

Rose took her shoe from Cindy and smiled in wonder before hugging the othe Fable tightly. "Cindy you're a miracle worker! They're my absolute favorite pair and you've fixed it good as new!" Delight sparkled in her eyes as she tenderly put the shoe back into it's box with it's mate and the box back into her bag.

"Now did you say something about a pair of gold heels? Those sound lovely and I don't think I have a pair that color and is there a better reason to hit the shops than needing an outfit for a pair of marvelous shoes?"

She grinned and linked her arm with Cindy's as they headed back to the main room just in time to see Charming drawing a rose from under Belle's hair. Rose rolled her eyes at the trick, it was really unworthy of a Fable, but kept her mouth shut. He was a Prince after all and if he wanted to stoop to the level of a human illusionist it wasn't her place to say anything though the look on her face spoke eloquently enough.

"Cindy thank you so much for fixing the shoe for me. Do me a favor and send that pair of heels you mentioned to my apartment and simply charge them to my card please. I need to get out of here before the testosterone levels get to high," the last was said with a little grin and an eye roll at both Charming and Jordan.

Kissing Cindy's cheek she grinned impishly, "You know hun you should take a day off and go shopping with me, perhaps even bring my sister along. Ohhh which reminds me, would you tell her to give me a call when you see her and Briar Rose tonight? I can never seem to catch up with the girl and her birthday present finally arrived. I want to arrange a little dinner with her so I can give it to her."

Sauntering from the store she paused only once to let her violet gaze roam in frank and appraising sweep over Jordan. Oh yes the man gave her the shivers! Too bad he was all but obsessed with Cindy or they might have had a bit of fun together. Blowing him a kiss and grinning impishly she pushed the door open and headed out of the store to finish her errands for the day.

"Cindy you're a miracle worker! They're my absolute favorite pair and you've fixed it good as new!"

"Just a bit of magic, Rose. Nothing as fun as 'bibity bobity boo,' but, the results speak for themselves."

Hugging Rose back, the blonde simply shook her head and started dressing again. It was a wonder with all the in and out that her jacket wasn't one big wrinkle. Magic and little luck; oh the wonders of being a Fable. Stepping into her shoes as they linked arms, she chuckled as they walked back where the others were.

"Gold, as in the element symbol Au. Real gold shoes from Russia, doll, and they're almost as light as air. Not as nice as glass, but, we both know I'm partial. I'll charge them and have fun...even though you're abandoning me."

She feigned a whine, but nodded in agreement. Jordan was almost too much for her and she put up with him on a daily basis. And how Charming could stand there and perform cheap illusions in her boutique, in front of her, made absolutely no sense. Stretching her arms up, brushing off the arms of her jacket, Cindy yawned and decided to pretend they didn't exist.

"Store's closed on Monday, you'll be able to catch me then. I've got to get this last bit of the fall fashions out of door before I can take a real break. I promise to bug Snow for you...take care now, love."

Mouthing 'take him' with a quick look over at Jordan, Cindy waved her goodbye and made a beeline for Belle. Poor girl, she just ended things with Beast, she didn't need Charming oozing his charm all over her.

"Anything I can interest you in, Belle?"

Jordan simply watched as Rose and Cindy discussed shoes, what an interesting topic he thought so very sarcastically. Rolling his eyes he watched and waited around, not really paying any attention to the newcomer despite her beauty. It didn't take him long to realize who she was and he was sure she would give him no time of day considering how much he and her ex-husband had in common. Shifting around he then watched as the two women reappeared and Rose said her goodbyes.

As Rose drew near to him as she passed Jordan couldn't help to believe that she may have taken a liking to him, and the turn and kiss blow in his direction only confirmed such. Maybe a stalking was to occur. A stalking that would conclude with her being alone and him striking at his prey, in the most tantilizing of ways. Finally, as she left Jordan hovered around for alittle more making his way more and more towards the door before suddenly he was gone.

It didn't take him long to track Rose's scent as it was something that wasn't veru usual among the mortals, the scent of an immortal Fable woman was much more different and strong. Finally, he saw her, but kept his distance as she went about her errands. Being a private eye and a natural hunter made tracking and following her without being detected so much easier. Every move that she made as he followed her made his mouth water, so much so that he could barely hold back from pouncing in such a public place.

Rose's errands all ran smoothly. She'd stopped by her bank and her broker's offices as well as made a quick run through her favorite salon to have hair trimmed. As always her stylist had fawned over her hair, marveling at the color and the fact that it was real. The man was entirely to flamboyant in Rose's estimation but it was offset but a sharp sense of humor and the fact that underneat the flamboyance was a mind that was sharper then most. She enjoyed his company and that was something Fable's didn't say about most humans.

Leaving the salon she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched but when every male head, and even a number of females, turned to watch your passing it made it hard to figure out which watcher was out of the ordinary. It was frustrating but eventually she just shrugged it off and continued with her day.

She hadn't been teasing Cindy about wanting to go shopping but she had to wait until the shoes arrived before she'd be able to find the perfect outfit to go with them so once all her little mundane chores were done she headed back toward her apartment building. Like the rest of the Fable's Rose lived well and she'd bought the very top penthouse apartment in her building. She loved having the entire floor to herself though now and then it was a little lonely. Still the neighbors in her building were friendly and when one of them threw a party Rose was always at the top of the guest list.

"Ahhhhh, home sweet home," she sighed happily as she closed the door behind her and was greeted by the cat that appeared almost out of nowhere to press against her legs purring for attention.

Grinning she picked up the feline and cradled him in her arms as she kicked off her shoes and wandered into her living room. Curling on the couch with her purring cat she flipped on the television and settled in for a quiet evening at home. A rarity for Rose she treasured the few nights her social calendar didn't have her running all over the city.

Damn, when she said she had more errands to do she wasn't kidding he found as he had been following her for some time now. However, the more he followed her and watched the more he found himself wanting her. She was quite an enticing woman, maybe more than Cindy, but he was so obsessed with Cindy no one could surpass her. Finally, she had chosen to return to her apartment when the sun began to fade behind the horizon. What a great time, the precise time, to do his real stalking of his prey.

Of course she had to live on the top floor of the apartment, it only made sense to make his stalking inside all the more difficult with the security cameras and all. A Fable always lived in upscale places and this one definately did not take security lightly. From staircase to staircase he was able to move to the top floor with ease and avoided all cameras by, well, using more of his animal abilities.

However, he was unable to get to the top floor as there were no stairs, at least that he could tell, leading to it. So, he did what any beast with sharp claws would do, he took to the outside walls. Climbing out the window he leapt for a ledge to the window above and grabbed it, easily hoisting himself up in front of large glass windows. Immediately in the view of Rose he hopped up again very quickly to get out of her sight and crawled to get to the window of the bathroom.

Letting himself in, with alittle push of course, he dropped down and closed the window behind him. Now, he thought, the real fun began. Slowly opening the door he walked with light stalking steps around the floor until he reached Rose on the couch with her back and inviting exposed neck begging for his attention. It was there he stood, waited, and breathed very shallowly as he watched her for some time.

Rose started slightly having though she'd seen something at the window but by the time she got to it whatever it had been was gone and she decided it must have been a large bird of some sort. Shrugging she went back to the couch and her who was looking none to happy with her for having just dumped him to the couch.

"Awwwww, I'm sorry Rhys," she murmured as she lifted him back to her lap and stroked his head and ears. Knowing he was going to be pampered the cat simply relaxed and started purring once more which made Rose smile. Her cat always brought a smile to face no matter what sort of day she had.

Petting her cat and flipping channels she never heard Jordan enter her apartment, nor did she hear him creep up behind her...after a few moments she did see him however. The T.V. was directly across from her and as the light faded outside the lights in her apartment - many on timers - started to come on and she could see him reflected behind her.

She managed not to react to the sight by leaning forward slightly and kissing to top of her cats head while crooning softly to him as she often did. When she leaned back once more she was calm and composed and her voice was slightly cold when she spoke at last, "I'd have let you in if you'd rang the buzzer Jordan. Quit lurking and come sit down."

Rose startled him as she recognized that he was there causing him to jump slightly before striking back with words and actions. Leaning close he growled, "What makes you think I'm here to be friendly? I could be here to kill you, you know, I am an animal afterall. That is why the Mayor won't let me into the Farm," he said as he bit together his teeth and then walked around the couch.

Mumbling something Jordan took a seat on the couch at the other end far from her and turned to stare at Rose. "I know you like my lurking, you are more of an animal than I am, you like the danger of my presence. Now, your friends, or your so called friends wouldn't like that too much would they? What would they think of me being here? That makes you hot doesn't it," he said as he leaned in close to her again, his animal nature taking over again as it did so many times.

Breathing in her scent he allowed his right hand to brush against her left arm, his nails sliding against the soft skin. "Your cat does look like a find meal though, maybe an appetizer to the real feast that I came here for," he said with a sly grin as he looked at the cat. He was testing her, trying to get her angry, hot, even trying to scare here, it was all turning him on as only an animal could be.
