Well, we covered our favorite movies recently... I now want to ask what movie you believe was an absolute waste of time, one of those "I can't believe I just wasted 2 hours of my life watching this crap" movies. And after watching the video last night, I will cast my vote for "Eyes Wide Shut", Kubrick's last movie starring Tom Cruise and wife Nicole Kidman. I mean, give me a break! The acting was wooden, there was no chemistry between any of the actors, the storyline was SO slow and boring and... oh, hell, don't get me started. As a Kubrick fan, let's just say I've never been so disappointed in a film as I am right now. Props for the cinematography and lighting, but otherwise... a BIG thumbs down!

Anyone else wanna take a shot?

Oooooh! I also couldn't stand this movie. For all of the same reasons listed above. I couldn't even watch the whole thing in one sitting. Very much a dissapointment.

Stanley Kubrick is my favorite director. I haven't yet seen the film 'cos I would not be able to bear the idea of his last film being shit.

I don't really enjoy watching those two sappy morons professing their undying commitment to each other by doing movies together....what a waste of time. I have never liked her, and since he married her, his shit has all been crap.

And did I hear a rumor (or is it actually true) that Ellen DeGeneres and Anne Heche are doing some lesbian flick together? OK losers, we get it!!! We know you are gay, and NO ONE CARES!!! You didn't shock the world, so now you have to do a movie to show us how pathetic you are? Give me a break...I hate movies.

The only thing I will even consider anymore is Disney movies. True, most of the new ones are crap, but I could sit through countless hours of Pooh, Cinderella, Mary Poppins, and the like over any of this moronic crap they are passing out at the box office.

*sorry I do tend to get carried away, please don't hate me because I'm PMSing*

I must say this is THE WORST film I have ever seen. My friend dragged me to this movie, he loves Nicole. I was never so happy to see a movie end. What was with that damn piano key through the whole thing? OMG, that got on my last nerve.

Sammyjo, I agree with you, I never liked her, and since he has been with her, his movies suck.

As far as the Ellen/Anne rumor, I think they are talking about the movie Anne Heche directed and Ellen played in... but yes, she played a lesbian lover and her partner was Sharon Stone. The movie is an HBO movie called, "If These Walls Could Talk." I am so sick of those two talking about being lesbians... who cares! She ruined her show with all of that shit.. nobody cares, but my god if you are going to shove it down our throats don't get upset when people start to tune you out. (besides, I have better things to shove down my throat.. lol)

BTW, how could anyone ever hate you? Don't be silly... PMS away... and enjoy it.

I pretty much think that any movie with Tom Cruise in it is a waste of time and money he may be a pretty boy but he cannot act worth squat...although I loved Kubricks stuff I couldn't bring myself to go see it, just because Tom Cruise was in it....However, the question was have we seen one that we think was a waste of time. I saw one with my wife and I have to admit it was one of the few films that I have ever walked out on...Sleepless in Seattle bored me to tears, I didn't find it cute, funny, charming or anything like that (and I like a good romantic comedy as much as the nest guy) anyway thats my pick....

Movies that I don't like. hmmm (have my thinking cap on!)

I have to admit that "Fargo" didn't do much to me, I can barely remember it at all. Another one is "Deer Hunter". I tried to watch this one, but after the first 45 mins. I just gave up.

I haven't seen "Eyes Wide Shut" yet, but with the review it've gotten here I don't think I'll see it at all.

EOD. Can you explain what happened in "Eyes Wide Shut", I seen the movie but I didn't understand what was happening, and why it was happening. This Movie left me with lots of questions, one of with is - Why was it even made? There is nio real substance in that movie, what a waist of time and money.

Thank you Eve. I thought I was the only one who thought it was a piece of shit. Everyone that I knew was saying how great it was. That movie sucked far more than any movie has ever sucked before. Well maybe not as bad as Showgirls but it was a stinker. Tom Cruise lost a little of my respect for that one.

I hate it when I go see a movie and don't like it. This is mostly because, since we had the kids, going out at all is a major production. Plus, with movies being about 8 bucks a pop now, with babysitter fees, etc., it's enough to make a grown woman cry.

I wasted my time with the newest James Bond flick. My husband wanted to see that on the Big Screen before it left the theatre. I wanted to see American Beauty. Needless to say, my choice would have been better. The World Is Not Enough was so bad, I wanted to walk out, which I never do. The floosy villainess was horrible. The whole series seems cliche now, partly I think because, while 007 movies used to be the only ones with the spectacular explosions chases, etc., now every other movie is rife with that type of cinematic excitement. They should give up on that line unless they come up with something Different.

Also, on the kiddie front, The Tigger Movie was worthless. I usually like Disney, but this one stunk. My husband and I both fell asleep.

Didn't see Eyes Wide Shut and am inordinately glad.

OMG! That piano key rang through my brain for days... I couldn't stand it.

Nobody, you aren't the only one, I came out of that Movie looked at my friend and asked "What was that about?" I didn't get it at all. All I know is I was confused, bored out of my mind and my ass was killing me... and none of it was worth it. I don't mind my ass hurting but at least let me get some enjoyment from the pain I am enduring!

Renee, yes, that damn piano key being hit over and over as Tom removes his coat, sits down at his dining room chair, gets up from the chair, then goes into the bedroom - all of which takes him approximately 8-10 minutes! And Kubric thought this was suspense? He was majorly slipping, must have had premature Alzheimers, or something. Hey, nobody special... I'm so sorry, sweetie, I'm afraid you'll just have to watch the movie again, cause I don't have the slightest idea what it was supposed to be about, and there's no way I want to sit through it again to find out!

Hey, lets get on to the film's only redeeming value...does Nicole show any skin for a signifcant amount of time?

If you want a HOT lesbian scene, find a copy of The Hunger, with Susan Sarandon and Catherine Deneuve...

Crap movies. Oh, God.
I was forced in to see "End of Days" Jeez, what a load of shit. It would have been more fun to stick my head into a bucket of hot piss than see that movie.GRRRRRRRR.

LOL! Well...she does show her arse for a bit in the very beginning. I don't know if it could be considered for a "significant amount of time," though. Sorry, Love...the movie's no good.

Speaking of crappy movies, I just saw Notting Hill and that was the worse thing I ever saw, showgirls and Eyes Wide Shut includes. Julia Roberts sure went wrong with that one and Hugh Grant, I don't know what it is about his but none of his movies are that good. Maybe it's just me.

Eve, I don't like his movies either. I never saw Notting Hill. Although, I do like Julia's movies, for some reason I had no desire to see her in this one. Maybe it was because he was in it.

I might rent "eyes wide shut" Just for that scene where Nicole Kidman is in her undies and Laughing at her husban for no real reason. That was the best scene in the movie, tho it would have been better with out sound, and if she would have showed a little more. But then again why waste my money on that movie again. Yes there was a lot of people in the theater that said the same thing about this movie: " What the FUCK was that about????
