Honey, if you're going to be at Lit, you've got to remember one thing and one thing only- grow Teflon skin. People around here aren't always very nice, or their humour is very sarcastic, and some people are just plain trolls. My comments were TAME compared to other things you'll see here.

Another thing, apex was right, bestiality IS a serious no-no. It's along the same lines as sex with a child because animals, like minors, can't give their consent. That's why all figures represented in stories have to be 18 or older. I don't usually pass judgment, but- grossville, dude. Actually, there is no policy on Lit. about beastiality - only about sex involving children, and that is not beceause of consent - it is about legality (Lit. is based in California, and I believe even textual stories about child sex there may be illegal) and/or it is about what Laurel and Manu are comfortable with and where they wish to draw the line (which I agree with it). If it was about consent, then we wouldn't have stories about non-consent, would we?

There are and have been stories about beastiality since I have been here. Just to be clear beastiality is certainly not my cup of tea, but not because of a question of consent (which I have debated here on the GB in the past).

In short, not everyone feels the same way you do, so don't pass your personal prejudices off as official Lit. policy.

i never said that i thought it was a serious no-no. i said here at lit its a serious no-no. i dont do it myself because im just not attracted to animals. but i dont have a problem with it as long as nothings getting hurt.

But it's ironic that you chose to mention the 5th amendment, which is the right to not have to testify against oneself in court, or self-incrimination. I'd say by asking about bestiality stories in particular, this person did incriminate his/herself.

Moreover, I stick to my previous statement- if you fantasize about sex with something that 1) is an actual animal that isn't even your own species and 2) that can't even give legal consent, you're fucking sick.

I didn't mean to misquote you; however, the REASON it's a big no-no at Lit is because animals cannot give consent. Now, they DO have non-consent stories, but between consenting adults, and in just about all of them, there is a little force and then the "victim" warms up to it. I've never seen any stories depicting a brutal, violent, actual rape in a story that doesn't polish over the reality of such an act.
