The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen (OOC-Open)

It has been exactly one year since the supposed Death Of Allan Q, M and Dorian Gray. But how wrong everyone has been, Dorian Gray is alive, brought back by his own hate for the League wanting revenge to destroy everyone. But the tables have turned and Dorian Gray is the most powerful man he has created a powerful League of his own. The League Dorian called Spectra. His men were powerful, very fast. It was actually like the League that Allan was leader of. But the great difference was the power levels. And there were at least two of each. Two people that were invisible, Two people that could change form, Two People that were vampires. And the rest hidden in the darkness until they were needed.

But now tables have turned and Dorian found a new love in his life, a woman named Anna. She was a sweet girl, one with a very brilliant mind, Dorian's dream would be to explain everything to her, to have her on his side in Spectra because of how bright she was. She was protective as well, but she doesn't know his fate the painting had re-appeared and still with Dorian to this day. Now the days are growing longer London birth place of all evil had taken a hold of the people and woke up many long thought dead.

Now Allan is back and so isnt the Extraordinary gentlemen league, the fate of man kind rested on Anna's shoulders and she would soon find that out. It was on a beautiful spring day Dorian wanted to see Anna so she went to his mansion and let herself in, she wasn't the type to snoop so she didn't.

"Dorian?" Her voice carried and echoed she noticed some people in his house, people she didn't know but knew Dorian very well, not knowing they were his men.

Rachel Bolt, technicaly unaligned for the moment, but still with a strong mistrust in Dorian Grey from what she had heard, is watching from a tree that was positioned well enough to be able to see into the mansion, yet conceal her hiding place, when she notices Anna going inside.

Dorian Gray, arrayed as always in the latest of fashion, stopped his self appraisal in a mirror long enough to glance up, giving Anna a curious should. The woman realy should know not to interupt him when he was grooming.

"Yes my dear?"

The voice was lanquid, like silk upon the ears. Dorian gray was a man of exceptional sensuality, and it seemed to almost drip from his as he turned to face her. And yet.......there was something false about him. He was handsome...no, radiant, and yet the beauty did not reach his eyes, a cold dark almost black. The face held a healthy glow of vitality, but seemed to have to much, as an overripe fruit is full of color. He was, quite simply a monster. He had been for a long time.....longer than most knew. She was his only flaw. The oe thing that brought out in him a trace of human love or compassion. He loved her.

She smiled "Oh sorry Dorian I know you don't like to be disturbed I didn't know you were grooming yourself" She said softly. Her body flowed gracefully under the black dress she wore. Her green eyes attracted to his as she walked up to him. "I got the letter from the messenger about you needing to see me? Or someone playing tricks on me again?" She said thoughtfully, she didn't mind it, was a good excuse to see him again. She kissed the side of his face as she sighed a bit. She had a bad feeling someone was watching her, and because of that she looked out the window for a moment but didn't see anyone.

Looking back at him she smiled "Everything Ok?" She asked kindly.

Mose glared down at the adress scrawled on the letter in that oh-so-fancy english hand. He scratched at his stubbly chin and looked up at the door of the Dorian Gray residence.

This was the place....

Mose stuffed the paper back into his pocket and looked himself over in the window. There he stood, the six-foot-ten, 250 pounds of hard muscled man that he was. His dark hair groomed back nicely, his sideburns thick on his cheeks, and that stovepipe hat of his tilted to one side. And the clothes, not exactly ritzy looking but stylish given his native home of Manhattan. A deep red shirt with the sleeves rolled up to show off his burly forearms, black suspenders, charcoal trousers with flared bottoms, heavy working boots and a nice new black vest.

All of them freshly washed and pressed. Dorian had been quite generous in sending him the money to get passage over here, buy him a few meals and get himself cleaned up. Tucking a greased lock behind his ear he gave Dorian's door a knock.
"This b'hoy best not be pullin my leg..." he muttered to himself.

He gestured vaguely to a pile of papers before him. Many of them where charred or blackened by fire, though one could see notes reguarding any numbe rof miraculous things.

"Oh, just my usual annoyance at haing to rifle through the old man's things to find what I need. Most annoying. In any...."

He frowned then, feeling a slight tickle at the back of his mind. An old sense of danger coming to the fore. He rose slowly from his desk, and walked to the window, carefully scrutinizing the world that lay beyond, and sensing something..Something amiss. Remaining facing the window Dorian continued as if uninterupted.

"In any case, I have need of your services my dear. My predacessor left me plans for a great many wonderous things..I would like your help in getting them built. I also have several potential agents I am planning on recruiting, I would like your aid in dealing with them. Two such agents should be arriving shortly. I sent them both letters inviting them....."

He paused, considering the window again, and the tree beyond.

"In fact I believe one of them is roosting behind that tree in the front yard. Would you be so kind as to escorting her inside?"

She smiled happily "Hmm felt that to, like we were being watched" She went on out and went to the tree, making sure to stay away in case she was in danger, she had a gun hidden in case she needed it, she hated to do it but if she had to. "Ma'am I know your out here, Dorian Grey wishes to speak with you and I am to take you to him" Her voice stern but kind mixed she gave a smile on her face. Ready, waiting to see what this woman would do, she was ready either way.

Rachel does a perfect flip, and lands on the ground, attached to her belt is nothing more than two katanas, so weapon-wise, she was outmatched. "I'll see what he can offer, nothing more for now," she says, looking Anna, but her hand slowly moving towards one of the swords at her side, just in case.

She smiled seeing a Katana in her hand "Im going to take my gun out so you see im not going to shoot" She moved her jacket so she could see what she was doing, a gun in her hand as she took the clip out and showed she couldn't shoot, and slipped it in her back pocket, if she was to try and kill her, it would take to long to load the gun and shoot it, that was the point, her empty gun in her hand and showed her the way.

"Heh, humans, I only use these when I need to," Rachel says, releasing her grip on the sword. "So, shall we go in?"

Mose waited a few moments.

No reply.

"Some grace this guy's got huh?" he said out loud before turning his back on the door and crumpling the adress up. Oh welll, at least he still had three hundred dollars left, enough to get him a return ticket back to Manhattan if he needed one. This dorian guy was probably some sort of crazy Irishman anyways. He straightened out his trousers before looking around the street.
"Fine town huh..." he muttered to himself.

Just as he started to turn away, the door opened, and a Butler considered the giant for a moment, with remarkable cool considering the man's huge size. Perhaps not that odd, given the man's own rather repulsive appearence, with a pronounced hunchback, and hideous features.

"Alan Humphreys? Mr Grey has been expecting you."

The butler gestured into the darkened mansion, moving aside to let the giant pass.

"I am Igor."

She nodded and walked into the mansion, she saw the man that had arrived a man that called himself Igor. She went to the study "Dorian here she is" She said softly. "Anything you need me to do, or would you like me to look at what you wanted me to look at?"

Mose smirked. "Yeah, thats me Mack..." he said turning around and stepping inside. He cast a cautious glance at Igor, his lip stiff and his nose wrinkled. The poor fella looked like he'd seen better... decades. But Mose quickly shook his head.
"Igor... what is that...? Polish or German or somethin' ? " Mose shook his head, not really caring what the answer was. He took a look around inside the house and gave out a long shrill whistle.
'Jeeeeeeez Mack... quite a place this Dorian guy's got... coulda sworn it was fuckin' tammany for a second..." He said, then clicked his tounge a few times. "Tchtchtch... what is this... marble flooring?... Guys' got a pretty penny to throw around dont 'ee?"

"Infamous? Perhaps, but I prefer Unique.....it is a word readily applied to many in this strange new world...like yourself Miss Bolt. So many tragic deaths linked to you...how sad. Anna, please be seated. I want you here for our little meeting. A drink Miss Bolt?"

***

Igor nodded.

"The master is wealthy, but he cares for us very much. He gives us our food and our home."

Speaking in this candence, the strange little man led Mose to the meeting room, gesturing for him to enter and then taking his leave.

Anna nodded and sat down unsure of what this had to do with her but she did as she was told, she looked at him, how she wished she could be more then just someone he knew. She made sure not to make her emotions known since she was worried he would say she weak because of the emotion of love that flooded her body, she placed her hand in her lap, one leg over the other.

"Spare me the humanities here... if he came looking for me that can only mean he's a ruthless bastard." he said gruffly, taking his seat. Mose had mainly shown up to see what the hubbub was about. He figured that the guy would probably just be some crime lord looking for a strongarm... Mose knew the drill by now and was sick of it. He'd let Dorian speak his peace, and if Mose wasn't convinced he was on the level, that would be the end of it.

"Death is far from the full extent of my powers," Rachel says. "It all depends on my emotions, but death is, regretibly, most common these days," she says. "No thank you, I'm not thirsty."

Dorian stepped to the head of his table, rubbing his hands together as he spoke.

"My friends, we stand at the edge of a new age. A time of unrivaled potential. In the era to come, new weaponry, and the unique gifts you, and others like you have will reshape the face of the earth as we know it. To this end I have begun developing an orginazation called Spectre, which will take advantage of these chaotic, and trying times as a means to gain power, wealth, and influence. You are the best, the most exceptional members I could locate to assist me in the venture. Your unique skills will be handsomly rewarded, both with material wealth, and in the assistance with personal problems you have."

Mose blinked.
For a moment there he actually thought Am I hearing this?!?
He coughed and shifted uncomfortably in his chair. He leaned over to Rachel and quietly whispered.
"So... is this guy crazy or somethin'?"

She heard what she did "No he isnt crazy" She said lowly, looking over at them "Ive known Dorian for a long time now, he is wise, very wise, what he promises he will deliver, he doesn't go back on his word" She said simply, she smiled at Dorian her words heard by all in that room she had already decided she loved him and there for she would do it.

Rachel grins, she knew she was different, but she was far from the radical mutants that would later take root. "I'm an assasin, Mr. Grey, but if you want my, services, I'll need to know just how much money I'd get out of this, because I can always go elsewhere."

Mose smacked himself in the head.
"Oooooh, I get it now! so you ARE crazy then... I mean, saying you're going to get rich off of entire countries is one thing, but actually putting in the effort to bring it together... now you're Just fuckin' nuts boyo." Mose stood up and brushed himself off.
"Jeeez... Pull me all the way outa Manhattan just to listen to some guy who's been spending too much time on the end of an Opium pipe.. get a load of this guy."

Dorian gives her a radiant smile that somehow does not touch his eyes, they remaining as cold as ever. He considers for a moment, and the reaches beneath the table, withdrawing a heavy cloth bag from beneath the table. It's contents clink as he raises it above the table, and then pours the contents out. From the bag flows an assortment of ancient gold coins, priceless diamonds, and flawless pearls.

"Consider this a down payment for your services my dear. You can keep the bag too if you'd like. As to you Mr Humphreys, I am allready wealthy, as you can see. I have held all the wealth I will ever need. What I do require though...that is a much harder comodity to buy. I want power. Power requires more than wealth."
