Reality is Now Discretionary

Exchanges established by the federal government are exchanges established by the state. Rachel Dolezal is black. Iran will honor an agreement not to develop nuclear weapons. ISIS is a JV team. There’s an epidemic of sexual assaults on college campuses. Michael Brown had his hands up and pleaded “don’t shoot.” Caitlyn Jenner is a woman. Obamacare is working. 2+2 doesn’t necessarily equal 4. The polar ice caps are disappearing. The IRS is doing a decent job. The border is secure. We’ve ended two wars responsibly. Hillary Clinton turned over all work-related e-mails.

An $18,200,000,000,000 debt can grow without mention. People who burn down buildings and overturn cars aren’t thugs. The OPM hack is manageable. We’ve reset relations with Russia. Entitlement reform can be kicked down the road. We’re more respected around the world. When a nation engages in mass delusion in an era of worldwide terrorism, intense competition, and nuclear proliferation, things are unlikely to end well.

PROGRESSIVES NEED PERSPECTIVE: . . .according to Bari Weiss, who writes about “Love Among the Ruins.”

On Friday my phone was blowing up with messages, asking if I’d seen the news. Some expressed disbelief at the headlines. Many said they were crying.

None of them were talking about the dozens of people gunned down in Sousse, Tunisia, by a man who, dressed as a tourist, had hidden his Kalashnikov inside a beach umbrella. Not one was crying over the beheading in a terrorist attack at a chemical factory near Lyon, France. The victim’s head was found on a pike near the factory, his body covered with Arabic inscriptions. And no Facebook friends mentioned the first suicide bombing in Kuwait in more than two decades, in which 27 people were murdered in one of the oldest Shiite mosques in the country.
They were talking about the only news that mattered: gay marriage. . . .

The barbarians are at our gates. But inside our offices, schools, churches, synagogues and homes, we are posting photos of rainbows on Twitter. It’s easier to Photoshop images of Justice Scalia as Voldemort than it is to stare evil in the face.

You can’t get married if you’re dead.

True that.

Nothing has changed.

I'm reading a 1000 page history of the Civil War, and the author discusses how deluded many military leaders were as ruin came at them like a tsunami. They were washed away and replaced by other tards.

I expect we'll awake one morning, with empty banks, and all of Washington fled to Maui with the Fort Knox gold and the Pacific Fleet.

Our philosophic Road to Serfdom was laid out brilliantly in The Ominous Parallels.

;)

Nihilism makes all beliefs, especially suspension of disbelief, possible.

When ideas are in conflict; compartmentalize, but never reflect and examine.

Of course, what's even more hilarious than reading bozos lament the republic lost by blaming it on others...

...is the fact that the very lamenters didn't only finance America's downfall, they're still financing the very killers.
