The names have been mentioned several times of the members of the House and the Senate that have been called on to resign or be expelled. One of the key statements made by the Judges in the election challenge suits was not overturning the 'will of the voters'.

Their questionablity to serve aside, there appears to be no concerns about them being duly elected. Do we want to create a situation of casting the 'will of the voters' to the wind, or let them continue to occupy their seats and make fools of themselves and their voters?

Unless or until one or all are implicated in criminal activity, should crazy as a loon be grounds to walk them off the plank?

expulsion is a two edged sword and a distinct feature of an emerging banana republic

some politicians need to quit acting like they are on the literotica politics board where they exist only to attack other people they disagree with and get back to representing the people they agree with who put them into the positions they now enjoy

If they participated in the insurrection in any way, it is only fair to question their fitness to serve. That they won an election is irrelevant.

Then waste a bunch of time and money and impeach them.
Congress doesn't seem to have anything better to do other than spend money.

ET - that is true enough to actually be funny...

Maybe some of those Congresspeople are actually posting here. It reads like it.

You can't impeach members of the Senate or House.

No matter who you are or what your position you must be held accountable.

The houses of Congress make their own rules. If they want to call it impeachment, they can. The Constitution uses “expel” but the process isn’t named.

They can't be impeached. Depending on the state rules, in some states they can be impeached at that level (usually for criminal convictions) or recalled (an uphill battle, especially if they won by any significant margin.

That whole thing is a slippery slope (removing elected officials just because they're ass hats). I often say "no laws against being an asshole". LOL - or a lot of people would be in jail.

If it's found that some aided and abetted the insurrectionists, I would say that's a bit more serious than "being an asshole". I believe it's pretty clear at this point that some did.
