I think it's perfectly natural. Especially if you aren't necessarily experienced with someone of the same sex (or even opposite) and you are just curious about how all the things feel and look like.

I am a amle, but have done this very thing at a young age with male friends. It could not be called sex by adult standards, but it was extremely rewarding. I have a scene in my long novel describing this, but cannot publish it on LIT
