So the guy with complete and unfettered.axcess.to hack and slash agencies and their staff/expenses is now going to have his company take over the FAA without any Congressional oversight.

What shall we do about it?
'Fire everyone at FAA who has been transferred between posts or promoted or joined recently. Management, Controllers, IT consultants, Data analysts, Maintenance, everyone.'
Shit, another plane has crashed.
'OK, get the manufacturers of the craft that crash the most to investigate why their craft are crashing.'
 
Since all the crashes have been caused by DEI policies, and we got rid of DEI policies, then obviously these crashes aren't really happening and it's just our imagination
 
Air traffic controllers on CNN last night said that this might be the first time in aviation history that a commercial jet plane crashed and flipped belly up on a runway and there were ZERO deaths. They said this sort of crash was rated as an absolute 10/10 "worst case scenario".. 19 sent to the hospital, 17 treated and released.

Wow. And to think I've been a bit skeptical of "miracles" all my life.

We didn't get rid of all of the DEI hires. They're still out there like a cancer destroying companies like Boeing, Disney, CBS, NBC, ABC and a host of others.

Including one Delta plane that landed upside down -- it landed in Toronto, but it took off in Minnesota.
 
Musk cares about FAA rules and regs standing in the way of SpaceX's rocket & payload launches. He wants to be able to launch Starship every month without interruption, and damn the consequences.

Even more importantly, the two (FAA & Musk) have had "words" back and forth previously. So, this is also revenge.

Along these same lines, I also wonder what will happen to the gov't folks investigating Nerualink? 🤔

Space X is doing things that NASA could not do. It will be Space X who rescues those two NASA astronauts trapped in space, it's Space X who saves money by recovering their boosters, something NASA couldn't do, and it will be Space X that makes the first manned mission to Mars.

SpaceX is about to become NASA.

Which means that, in the future, NASA (previously SpaceX) will once again not be able to do the things that current SpaceX can do.

And the seasons, they go 'round and 'round. And the painted ponies go up and down... :)

SpaceX fires a rocket up maybe 5 or 6 times a year.
The FAA is responsible for handling 45,000 flights per day.
Two completely separate and distinct skillsets.

When you buy a hot air balloon at the circus you are not in anyway qualified to pilot the Goodyear blimp, despite both the balloon and the blimp both containing helium.
