Explain the "Down-Low" Phenomenon

Well, I'm assuming that he decided to use either a pen name or assume the risk of using his real name. You can't out someone who either uses a pen name or deliberately uses his own name. I wasn't out to "out", just to bring a couple of things to his attention.

And it's not like I was being mean. At least not on purpose. Maybe he knew that his story was up, maybe he didn't. I simply commented on the fact that he used a full name of sorts.

Long Story short. Down Low is a practice where males engage in hetero and homesexual acts without either side being aware. In college, my roomate was openly gay and he and his friends would stand by the dorm window and point out the "straight" males they have been with. I guess the term was coined in the black community, but i assume that more than one society practice this act.

Clearly, some gays, no matter what race, simply can't pull off the down low. But as I understand the phrase, it refers to men who identify themselves as straight having sex with men without their girlfriends/wife's knowing it.

"Straight" men secretly having sex with men cuts across all ethnic groups, not just blacks. But I can't imagine that truly straight men, outside of restricted circumstances and having closed their eyes, have sexual experiences with other men without being at least bisexual.

So what does it mean? Hopefully, it means that Tony finally comes out of the closet, gets divorced, gets visitation with his children every other week, gets a civil marriage and hopefully has a good life.

Sooo, anybody know any Latino's on the down low? Just asking. I have a question. Really.

You can't out someone who outs himself. So don't worry about that. Not that I will confirm or deny whether my username is my real name. I prefer to make people wonder a little. Be coy. Toy with them, just a tad. Sorry, must be a latent sadistic streak. LOL.

I hope that my depiction of the DL lifestyle was somewhat accurate, at any rate.

Naturally, I don't have the missus sit at home and wait for him to come home to her. But I don't to give anything more away.
