What exactly gets you in the approach? what fires the split second decision to go home, or give phone number to, or push off someone who is hitting on you?

I go by the motto, If I can make you laugh, your mine. since that's my personal style.

a while back, i lived beside a mall in vancouver. inside the mall, which i found reasons to go into almost every day, there was a little keyosk (sp?) stand for gettingkeys cut and things engraved. there was this decent looking guy always working there, he was really shy though, i met him and talked to him one day because i needed a key cut for my apartment, i lose keys a lot. anyways, after that he would always look at me and smile, or try to start a brief conversation with me, i always thought he was cute but he was soooo shy, which i also found cute, but at that time in my life i didnt want to deal with a shy boy and try to make him feel comfortable enough to hang out with me on a regular basis, as i am pretty blunt and in your face.

after about 5 months of seeing him and making small talk with him almost every day, i walked in the mall this one day, and he smiled all big and he waved me over. when i got to his stand he leaned over the counter with a little box and told me not to open it until i left the mall.

after i went to buy the shampoo i had gone in to get, i walked by him again still holding hte box in my eager little hand, when i got home and opened it, it was a pair of 14 karat gold hooped earings, they were wide hoops too, i thought they were great and i was in shock, until i read the little note that was under them. it said i should read the insides of the earings.

when i read the insides, i noticed he had engraved his name in one, and his phone number in the other.

i thought that was the sweetest way any one could ever have given me their fone number, i dated him for just over a year after that.
