What you Need
• Android TV Box (Shield TV, MECOOL, Mi BOX) from $60.00 to $199.99 (US)
• KODI 19.+ FREE – App to view your own media and stream content from mostly torrent sites
• EZRA add-on for Kodi FREE – Allows you to customize Kodi and add your Real-Debrid account
• Real-Debrid $3.00 per month (US) – This hides your IP from your provider but probably not their servers. Legality is a grey issue for most of the world so it’s on you if you trust others with your IP. You can also use a VPN with all of these services except Syncler (more info below) tends to be difficult about it.
• Highly Suggested: Trakt account. FREE or Premium. Use trakt lists to keep your watched tv shows and movies organized.
The Android box works basically like a phone with apps etc. and is similar to a Roku device but with the Android box, you can “sideload apps” and make your viewing experience much more customizable and enjoyable.
The apps I listed above (Kodi, Ezra, Real-Debrid) also work with Firesticks but I rarely use mine so I’m not going into that shit. None of this works on Apple TV boxes without special tweaking and I don’t fuck with that.
This setup gets you literally everything same-day as the official release date (sometimes sooner) and all commercial-free.
An even easier setup is:
• Android TV Box
• Syncler $1.50 per month (US)
• Real-Debrid
Get yourself an Android TV Box, install the latest Syncler
Within Syncler, add your paid Real-Debrid account
After buying the Android TV Box of your choosing, you can get all of the content you want for about $5.00 (US) per month.
Each site I linked has step-by-step guides and there are a fuckton of other guides all over the internetz so I won’t be posting guides here and the tech support will be very limited from me.
I have both of these setups on a Shield TV Pro and couldn’t be happier. Kodi also allows you to play media from your own library and if you get deep in the weeds of it all, you can link your streaming accounts within Kodi which is pretty cool. But, if you go with the route(s) above, you can save on your Netflix, Apple TV, Sling, etc. bills.
What NONE of this will get you:
• Live local channels. You can add your RSS/IPTV/Whatever to Kodi but I don’t – I use an HD antenna.
• Porn. Same thing, you can configure Kodi with your logins, etc. but I don’t do that.
