Evidence?

Come again?

I don't follow you, SINthysist-- how do I hide who I am? It seems to me I'm pretty straight up about who I am-- as another poster put it, I'm the "chief commie cocksucker." (After the revolution, that's the title I want!) BTW, I checked out Newsmax.com, and I wasn't impressed at all. For conservative sources, The Economist (Economist.com) is the best around, I think.

And from what I've read of your posts, Hegelian dialectic you're definitely not.

Well genius, only the first line of that post applied to you.

ITS NOT ALL ABOUT YOU.

Why do you crack me up. I do not have to go past your first assertion. In case you have been paying attention, if Algore had goten his way, Bush would have one. Even the Liberal Big NE Newspapers were forced to come to that conclusion.

The most disenfranchised voters (after the military) black conservatives.

As for the rest, I stopped reading. Laughing to hard.

Do you really know what Hegelian means, or are you a catch-phrase kinda guy. I am a plain speaker from the Midwest with simple thoughts...

Huh?

Uhh, to quote your last post, "I . . . never hide who I am, like you." And as far as Bush having "won" (not "one") the election-- that was what the headlines in the NYT and other major newspapers said-- that was the spin they put on it. But if you actually read the whole article, it actually revealed that Gore won in Florida. And there's no question Gore won the popular vote, which in my mind is all that matters. Ever heard of the Compromise of 1877, SINthysist?

And yeah, I think I have a fairly good grasp of Hegelian dialectic, from having read Hegel's "Philosophy of History." (I never could make it all the way through the "Phenomenology of Geist" (translated into English as either "Mind" or "Spirit," neither of which is really satisfactory)-- the chapter on "Master and Servant" disgusts me way too much.) Also, Marxist dialectic is based upon Hegelian dialectic. Marx was the leftmost of the Left Hegelians.

Be seeing you.

He lost. Otherwise he'd be in the white house. Gore could not have won because he never wanted a total recount. He played in the rules and would have lost under the rules. That's a fact jack. Even if the Leftist Florida Supreme court had had it's way and not been stymied by the US Supreme court, and Algore's recounts would have been completed, short of absolute fraud, he would have not won. The only election to have truly been stolen was the Kennedy election. And guess what, a Daley was involved in that too!

And speaking of having heard of things, ELECTORAL COLLEGE. The popular vote means nada! zip! zilch! Un cero...

I've read every Vonnegut novel.

Hesse and Kafka too.

And Grasse.

One of my favorites.

If Al Gore had given a shit about the popular vote he would have campaigned in Texas and New York. It's like the runner up to Miss America saying she can do more push ups than the winner. Who cares?

George Jr. & Jeb don't!

Man I could not help myself.

talk about a thread run amok (sp? - too drunk to care, but by now everyone but Marxist knows that... ;) ).

By the way,

I LOVE THE RED GREEN SHOW!

Jeez REDWAVE

I just got it.

Damn I'm slow.

you're a Log Cabin Republican...

My most sincere apologies.

Real cute

Cute, SINthysist, real cute. At least you have a sense of humor. BTW, what's that stuff you're drinking? It must be REALLY good.

But yeah, you've figured me out-- how'd you guess? I'm really a lackey of the big bourgeoisie; I just pretend to be an "amigo de la trabajadores." In fact, I'd support Bush if he hadn't cozied up so much to the "Christian" fascists, who are definitely not fag-friendly.

Getting back to the whole original thrust of this thread, the word I've heard is that the quality of the famous tape is so poor that even native speakers of Arabic (a language which is very different from English) have a hard time making out what ole Beardface is saying. Thus, the U.S. government's translation is highly suspect at best. And releasing this tape now has much more to do with manipulating public opinion here in the U.S. than with "proving" Osama's guilt. The incidence of mindless flag waving has subsided lately, and the illegitimate Bush regime felt it needed to do something to rekindle war fever in the populace. Hence this tape-- which I suspect was probably manufactured by the CIA or the NSA, anyway. You can do amazing things with technology these days, especially if you have virtually unlimited resources behind you.

Stop the War!
Stop Bush's Police State Drive!
All Power to the Workers!

LOL!

Redwave, you're a caricature of an anachronism of a caricature. Is there anyone who really really still says things like "All Power to the Workers" anymore?

Red, YO, Red!

Everything I am reading suggests that yes, a few die-hards are still buying into the myth, but those cultures whom wish to join the new century are indeed viewing this as the smoking gun.

PS

Afghanistan is now under control of non-Taliban as the caves have fallen. We did better than the Russians. The next country to harbor Al Q or any other terrorists now has reason to be concerned.

Oliver

you just wasted a perfectly good post.

DAMN THE MAN!

I must type and think faster.

LOL back at ya

Well, Doc (or Doc in training, I'm not sure which), the only reason you think I'm an anachronism is that, due to the post-'60's reaction, history has actually moved backwards since 1969. Communism is far from dead, as those of your intellectual tendency think, but lives in the struggles of the oppressed masses worldwide, and in the thought and writing of the revolutionary vanguard intelligentsia-- of which I (in case you haven't noticed) am a member.
:D

But I like your posts in general, Doc-- at least you're not just an insulting ass like "Problem Miles." And anyway, even if you don't like "All Power to the Workers," how about stopping the war & Bush's police state drive? (See wsws.org for an update on the continuing assault on basic democratic rights.) We've already bombed Afhganistan from the Late Stone Age back to the Early Stone Age (they weren't that far from the Stone Age to begin with). How many more countries will we reduce to rubble before these crazed madmen are halted?
