Parade day…the late Fernando Valenzuela’s birthday…Dia de los Muertos 🎉🎂💀 What a day!

ABC7 estimating well over 100k along the parade route. Not sure how they configured Chavez Ravine (Dodgers stadium) for the event at the end of the parade, but normal capacity is 56,000 without seating on the field like they might do for concerts. Well over 150k Angelenos out there celebrating this morning!

LA is a Lakers & Dodgers town, and we missed out on TWO victory parades in 2020 because of the pandemic. Angelenos needed this 💙💙💙

Congrats, @Kitty_so_frisky!

It gave me great amounts of joy to see the Yankees implode like they did. Happy to see Freddie and Shohei win. (I know Freeman has one already, but I’m not happy about that one for him. Haha) Crazy that neither Judge nor Ohtani played a major role with their bats in the series.

Thank you! And true, Shohei didn’t carry in the series, but just like any Dodger who got traded before the deadline or didn’t make the postseason roster, they wouldn’t have gotten there without him and he deserves that ring! Especially after 50+ stolen bases and 59(?) home runs in the regular season, and languishing with the Angels for years without ever even getting to play in a single postseason game. I do kinda love how much the postseason was a team effort for the Dodgers though. Everyone from the top to bottom of the lineup and the whole bullpen contributed and had their moments to shine.

As for Judge, he showed up for them in game 5, it was just too little, too late by then. Still a great player, just not a champion yet.

Having 2 Roberto Clemente award winners (Judge and Rizzo) earned the Yankees at least a little respect in my book though. Kersh and former Dodger Justin Turner won them with the Dodgers in somewhat recent years, and they’re the best of the best humans. LA was a better place when JT and Kourt were here. I don’t pay too much attention to non-Dodgers, TBH, but if they’re anywhere near that caliber, they can’t be all that bad.
