I got my comp fixed and now it's time to get my EQ fix ;) ROAR look out Evercrack here I come! :D

Tribunal server if anyone is interested in saying hi!
(hint hint nudge nudge RIFF)

I'll be on as either Ninou, Wilhemina or Occult.....

I don't think I'll be playing any of my others ;)

Yay back to the realms of Norrath

Actually I plan on spending the weekend, raiding my butt off as well.

Have fun :)

Well, Mistress, you didn't seem too interested in playing with me before!

I will create a character on Tribunal, but what kind of character, and would you powerlevel me to help a newbie out?

You don't have to, but it would be damned cool of you if you did.. :)

/emote wonders what he should be.

/boggle

can you imagine a guild of Lit people?

*giggle* that could be rather funny :D

"Literos" would be a good name I think.

:)

But Madame Queen Mistress is too dedicated to her current guild and buddies to do it!

:(

I think we should ALL start new characters on a new server and do it from scratch! YAY!

Never. Ever. Play. Everquest.

Heh.

Anytime someone mentions it, I'm reminded of my friend's roommate. The kid who had a sweet job at an ISP where he got to do as he liked and got paid very well for it. Who had quite a few friends and went out regularly with them. Who had a pretty close family. Granted, the same kid who, at 20, was still preying on 16 year old girls because he had alcohol.

That same kid who would spend the entire weekend at the ISP playing Everquest without leaving his chair, except to go to the bathroom. Never showering, brushing his teeth or anything. Never going out with friends and only seeing his faimly for minutes on the week. The same kid who became so obsessed with Everquest domination that he cheated, got caught, and got his account revoked.

The same kid who rebuilt his social life and family life. Who spent about $70 to buy an entirely new copy of EverQuest. Who promised he wouldn't be addicted again.

Yeah, that's him. The same guy who did get addicted again. Who started to skip work so he could play the game. Who was warned several times, but kept skipping to play. Who lost his fantastic job. The same kid who abandoned all friendships in favor of playing the game. Who never left the apartment unless absolutely necessary. The same boy who missed all of Easter with his family so he could play a game. Who missed his father's birthday. Who lost contact with his family.

The same guy who now cries about his deep dark depression and helplessness. How he has no friends. Who never cleans his shit up, plays 40 hour streaks and sets alarms nightly to wake up in time for raids. Who's father calls his ROOMMATE to find out what happened to him, because this boy forgot to pay the phone bill (it does, afterall, require getting out of the chair). Yeah, that's him. He still cheats, too.

I hope he plays on the same server someone else does so they can terrorize him. I will find out this information. *Goes to find out.*

Actually, I envy anyone that can enjoy the game, because I can't and... I'm without an interesting game right now. Le sigh!

Granted. If he plays with Mistress, I can understand.

And if he does, I'll kick his ass. Surely, his muscles have atrophied.

Ah.

"He plays on bertox (bertoxxulus is the full name?) and his charecter is Bartmeista Buffbringa"

"If you know someone who plays, and want to harasss him do a /who all shaman 60"

Harhar.

OMG< How do you know my brother? I wish I were kidding:(

It couldn't be truer, In fact, I took him in last August when he got kicked out of his Mom's house for being a bum. He was here till Febuary, In that time, he ate often, showered 111/2 a dozen times, slept only in his computer chair. I was so disgusted, that when he left, I threw everything in the room away, and had to paint the walls.

It really is sick in those cases. And I know that's now how it is for most people, but I can't in good conscience recommend the game to anyone now. heh.

I am going to create a new character since I am unhappy with the one I currently have. perhaps I will try the Tribunal server.

I will probably make a halfling druid or cleric.

I must have a short attention span because I can't play EQ for over 2 hours without itching to do something else. The longest I have played is five hours.

Well i'm on bertox with a level 60 warrior (60 being the highest level possible to achieve) and i have to admitt I don;t know the name.

Being in Australia though, I am usually on at completely different times.

It is not a totally unknown story though, just very extreme.

I guess it all depends on how you like to play the game.

I have some friends who do the 24/7 thing as much as possible and others like myself who maybe play 3 to 4 hours a night and enjoy the friendships made in the game

The same could be said of some hardcore quake players i think, as well as Ulitima Online and so on.

I know i have been addicted to a few games and i dare say there will be a few more.

hehe i have done a 36 hour thing once.... it nearly killed me lol

I've been all about dark elf rogues. I've played several. My first one I spent all my time being good. I was hunted in all the evil places and welcome in all the good, talk about fun. Took me months of playing to do it but it was cool. Canceled my acct a while back though. Just gearing up for Star Wars Galaxies. woowoo.

Hmm an EQ Lit Guild, could be interesting, but what server would we all play on i played on a few when i got the game, i find that Terris-Thule is the best, i dunno if your on there PM me with your name, and look me up in game sometime, my main is Adrian 36-Druid-Officer Warders of Divinity

hehe heaven help the guild name :)

there was a guild on Bertoxx named Guilty Pleasures which i kind of liked the sound of :)

Months upon months ago I brought up the idea of a Lit guild on EQ....but I was caught up in alot of stuff at the time. Riff you know I'd pl you, it helps when my main on Trib is a lvl 33 Cleric ;) I just play Mistress Ninou my Shadow Knight more is all, and I just recently got my DE warrior Occult to level 11 almost 12 so it shouldn't take long to catch up to me anyone who wants to hang out. I don't have much time to play but would be willing to help :)

I have two everquest accounts...yep TWO. So my 16 characters on the tribunal range from level 1-33, I'm sure you will find someone to group with ;) I actually just started a half elf druid to be my Shadow Knights daughter, but I have yet to play her. I use to run my own guild on the trib but lost it when I had to cancel my accounts for a few months due to money issues. Now I'm a member of one of the respected guilds and yes I do intend to spend alot of time with them, but since most of them are plane raiding levels and I do not have very long to play 1-3 (Before I get bored that is) hours at a time I usually dont group too often in higher levels.

AA, I'm sorry but stories like yours are very rare and only happen when people have major life problems. I have a mental disorder which includes depression but I do not act like that and I use to play ALOT when EQ first came out. I get upset over the game but mainly because I put real emotions into it, and though it is a game it has real people who I have become extremly close too and love very dearly. People who are that obsessed with the game though have many issues they need to work out and it isn't Everquest's fault, because if it wasnt EQ then it would be some other game....

Everquest is a good game, there is alot of drama but you meet friends for life Smiles warmly at her best friend Wanderer D. Many of the people I have met have become family to me, just like some friends here at Lit. I recomend the game to anyone who will listen, and trust they are 'adult' enough to handle it.

OK, I'll give it a shot. I'll make a DE on Tribunal in a little while.

Gotta reboot to Windows now. :(

:)

I should be on to play for a couple hours tonight after work hon....I'm going to PM you a ezboard address to my eq board that I have....even though its still in construction most of it works now. You can post your info there so I can find you in game :)
