Thanks riff...I had tried to PM you about the CCNA but your PM box was full. I haven't picked up the latest CD yet (tsk tsk). Seems like the only press they had regarding it was that Fallon left the band for good. I haven't seen any of the new videos on Much (who used to play "Brackish" to death). Maybe I'll look into it over the March break when I need some relaxing music

I always think I'm the weird one in networking...I don't fit the so called "image" at all. Although, that's really not a bad thing! Nice to see someone who's a little more diverse in their interests

I don't fit the image, apparently. Where I teach, the mentality is pretty much: "Oh, those computer guys are in a world of their own...." It's like a poetic license, in a way.

By that statement, you can judge that many of my associates don't know jack, which is all right by me.

I don't understand the persistant image of an IT guy or girl being some kind of geek. But if it comforts them to think so, then let the "geeks" of the world comfort them.

I definitely don't fit the image of the typical IT student (PVC wearing, pierced tongue, "dominatrix type"). Most of my class does fit the stereotypical image of an IT worker but they're a great bunch. They jokingly call me the Empress

Most of my students just look like geeks! LOL

Nah... pretty good "cross-section" though unfortunately, predominately male.

My class is predominantly male as well. There's only two women in the course although we did start with four. This is the first year for the IT Networking course so there's a lot of pressure to be one of the first women to complete it. I'm definitely up for that challenge!
