Ever notice that we have AV trends here

Last spring almost everyone was using Dollies or some kind of cartoonish type picture.

September- October was mainly partriotic AV's. Many of the real picture variety or a doctored version of real pictures.

Now it seems to be moving over to more real pictures of your real self and not just pictures of part of your body, but head shots.


Just an intresting trend I had noticed.

Actually, I just made this av to amuse myself while I was bored.. I'm currently working on improving my dolly and making it much, much cooler and suit me better. Once that's done it will be back, much to Modest Mouse's dissatisfaction.

i feel nekkid without my dollie.. i tried changing it once, but it just didnt seem right.. i was really confused and lost.. she's my identity cuz she looks like me (no joke.. the only difference is i weigh a little bit more than she does)

I have only ever used two AV's

Ther first one was the nice F-22 with afterburners on shooting across a sunset.

Then this one is of the new Su-47 Berkut. Its been in the air since about 1998 and has flown at sevearl airshows. It probably won't be in wide service for another 3 or 4 years at least. Once it is fully in service Russia will have the most manuverable fighter in the world.

Ah, the psychology of avatars... I want to be a stuffed-shirt in a suit and complain about how everyone is following the trend that I set... but alas, I refuse to bait the sycophants with another altared offering of pure crap. I'll start my own fad to be followed singularly (or insularly) by me alone. I pick what appeals to my fickle nature, and it's a revelation that surely the world is ending if I can keep an avatar for more than a week, let alone a month. It is utterly defining in our culturally prophetic avatar hunt.











I'm going to have to stand on a chair to wade through all this crap now that I've produced.

Where do I find an Avatar? Do I have to make one, or what? If you can, PM me with the answer...I don't always check this board...

I have used several in my short time at lit. Some have been cartoons or dollies, others have been pics of others that strike me for whatever reason. I have used myself as an avatar. As with all the rest, just got tired of looking at the same one.

I pick them for a number of reasons, be it funny, cute or sexy..they all speak about me.

Right now my Av is a pic of me. I have a couple of BDSM images and one sketch of a woman that I like that I sometimes use. It's not too often that I change my Av over. Looks like I won't be doing a Christmas one this year...

I haven't had too many AVs, as my total number of posts are still relativley low. It is fun to pick em out...kinda like the changing of the seasons... next is Valentines Day! Now that should be interesting.

I would categorize your avatar as a piece by Jennifer Janesko... the fashion these days. You know.... Olivia de Berardinis came before her, and her work is much more interesting (a lot more artistic value), but you can definitely tell where Janesko gets her "inspiration," or plagiarism, whatever you want to call it. The similarities between their works are a bit too similar to judge those boundaries for me. Who knows... maybe it's the same person, different names.

I've used anything that fits me, from someone else's drawings, to my own. From pictures of my ass, to actual pictures of my face. I don't care who sees my pics, face included.

[Vivid Blossom]

I use different ones depending on my mood -- I have a Vivid Blossom on that Harpoon created for me from a photo I found that resembles me but is not me -- superimposed over a rose blossom -- I go back to that periodically -- but now as you can see I am in the Christmas mood.
