I had this Christmas fling thingy with a guy. One weekend mid-January my cellphone started ringing. The number was withheld and it as on my Swedish cell. I hardly ever give out that number to anyone. Over the weekend it kept ringing until Sunday when it rang about 20 times! I answered a few times and it was all quiet.
Then suddenly a UK cellphone number flashed up and this time a girl starts asking me who I am, if I know her bf, where I am and so on.

Has this ever happened to you? Was he/she mad? How did you handle it?

Yup, sad to say it has happened. The best story I have about this is the time I met this guy at this club in Florida. We hit it off, both single, sexy, and free...or so I thought. He gave me his home number, I gave him mine. He told me he lived with his sister, so if a girl answered the phone it was her. So I would call his house, some female would answer, ask who it was, I'd tell her my name and he would be given the phone.

Two weeks into our "relationship" this sister of his calls me and asks me who I am. I tell him that her brother is my boyfriend. She laughs and says, "Brother?? I'm his wife!" Turns out that she thought I was his boss....that is why she gave him the phone when I called. It was some fucking horrible shit...but we made him pay.

yep it certainly has. I talked to her about half an hour. She was angry and crying, supposedly she wasn't supposed to be with him anymore <according to him>, so I broke it off, but not the friendship, and not even a month later he became intimate with someone else, a friend of mine, and now they're together and we don't talk at all.

I have this friend who's dating a psycho woman. He and I were friends long before he met her, and one day, as he was leaving her house, I called him (didn't know where he was, just called).... she heard a woman's voice on the other end of the phone, and went ballistic... so he said 'look, it was 'Vixen', 'Moses'' girlfriend, and here's the number so you can see for yourself'. (My honey goes by Moses online.) So this psycho chick calls honey's place, and does'nt introduce herself, just asks if this is Moses' house, and if I'm Vixen. I'm like.. yeah.... you must be 'Psychobitch', right? (of course, I didn't say psychobitch, I said her name, but you get the drift). Perky ~ I have spoken to her a few times. She's awfully calm though. I'd be raving mad. She says they've been going out for two years. When I asked him why I had his gf of two years calling me he said he knew nothing (of course) about it and that it must be one of the girls he's been occasionally hooking up with, who has fallen for him. He told both of us he'll "handle it" (i.e. us respectively).

I'm curious how others may have handled this stuff. The girl seems nice, but both could be lying. She just sounds too calm, or that's her way of dealing with it. I've answered all her questions and such. She doesn't want him to know we've spoken, she wants us both to try and get him to come up with proper explanation or excuse. She wants us to see what he'll say. I'm personally tired of chasing him for answers.

She and I came up with a way to catch him. Neither of us let him know that we knew about the other....we let things continue until that weekend. She and I both went to the club we knew he frequented, and started dancing all up on each other. When he arrived, she led me over to him and was like, "Look honey, I found someone willing to participate in our fantasy!" I looked him right in the face and he was speechless. When he didn't say anything, I played dumb and went home with them. Needless to say, when we got there, we started the "menage" but with him tied to a chair. He thought he'd only get to watch for a minute, then get to join in. Unfortunately, we told him the truth and then went ahead with each other, after blindfolding him so he could only hear and not see. Can anyone say "Blue Balls"? Oh yeah, I dumped him and I never saw them again....she's probably still with him though, she wasn't that bright.

Never been in this situation. But wondering if she was calm...since it wasn't the first time that it had happened? Sounds like she wants a confrontation. Don't blame you for not wanting to stick around to find out any answers...since you already have them. Personally I would have gone insane.

I was painfully blunt I think. I told her what he had told me and I'm sure it hurt, but hey, better she hears the truth. Then it's her choice. It's none of my business what goes on between them. If she stays or goes. I did ask if he has done it before, and she said no, at least not to her knowledge. She asked me at some point if I was gonna stay with him, in that case she'd break up with him and wanted no part. Today she told me she knows she should break up with him, but that it's not that easy as they've been going out for so long. Can't blame her.

Personally I'm staying his friend and we'll talk when we meet in town, but I'm not gonna bother chasing him for answers etc. It just gets me pissed off etc. I decided that whatever needs to be sorted between them is their business, not mine. I have my business with him, and she has hers. I don't trust him and I don't expect anything, but on the other hand, I didn't really expect much before either...

It happened to me. I was dating a guy and we weren't exclusive, but I had no clue that he had a girlfriend. He even flew me down to Atlanta for the weekend, where he was away on business.

The next week I keep getting calls on my cell phone- finally the person on the other end tells me that she's Jon's girlfriend and that she got my # off of his caller ID.

She was a bit psycho, as I think he had been trying to break up with her and she just wouldn't accept it, but he was really wrong in not telling me about her.

Yes, it's happened to me too. I dated a guy for 5 months, who was stationed near here at the Fallon Naval Base. We saw each other every weekend, then I get a call on my home phone as well as my cell from this woman who's screaming in my ear, demanding to know who the fuck I am, and how do I know her husband? I confronted him when he showed up at my house the next day, and he stammered and blushed and almost pissed himself. He's in Kuwait now...good riddance.
