Have any of you ever had to drive your mom to a bar so that she can drink cuz she has no drivers license?

I find myself having to do this on occasion every month and I'm getting fed up with it.

What should I do to tell my mom that I'm tired of driving her to bars so that she can drink?

tell her just like that.

no apologies
no further explanations

just tell her as if she were anyone else.
that is all you need to say.

Thanks, but my mom is a real bitch. So, go figure.

I question whether your mom doesn't drive because her license was taken for driving drunk? Tell her you love her too much to let her do this to herself; you will not help in her self-destruction. However, I know how hard it is for me to tell my mom "no" on any subject:( Luck.

Thanks, but as I said my mom is the meanest bitch you ever saw.

I agree with that, you may also want to add that you'll be more than happy to take her to the grocery store, doctor appointments, things of that nature. But you won't continue being her enabler any longer.

Course she might pick up several cases of beer while at the grocery store, that you drove her to, but at least you won't be going to the bars. :D

I had to tell my grandmother that I wasn't going to buy her liquor anymore. It reacted badly with her meds, and I was tired of scraping her up off the floor on a weekly basis.

She's off the booze now, and it only took breast cancer to get her off of it, but before that, she found a grocery store that delivered liquor.

It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do, but it was either that, or let go my sanity. Funny thing was, when I told her, she understood, and didn't give me a hard time about it.

Good luck to you...
