How about a full musical? I saw Moulin Rouge for the first time a few days ago ( I know I know) and have had the thing stuck in my head ever since. WIll throw out random song bits when I think its appropriate.
Any cures?

Yeah, that happens to me all the time. Right now it's "My Immortal," by Evenessance.

Sadly, I know of no cure.

Play something else..until that gets stuck instead???

:D
I'm trying its not working. Moulin Rouge isn't that bad- better that then something annoying like a never ending song or the "Three Big Lies."
I've a cousin that would unconciously hum/sing sometimes and she'd not realize it. Till she started singing the "three big lies"
"This'll only hurt for little while,
I'll only put the head of it in,
And I promise that I'll try to never come in your mouth!!!"
LOL so it could be worse...
*walks off singing "We could be lovers- and that's a fact."*

that ok i hve had the bitch song stuk in my head for four days now

My children used to have the song from Lambchop's playalong stuck in my head

*This is the song that doesn't end
Yes it goes on and on my friends
Some people started singing it
No knowing what it was
And they'll continue singing it
Forever just because*

Imagine that being stuck in your head for months at a time;)

Put on your favorite CD... you know the one, the one you can stick in the player and not hit "skip track" at all.

Works for me.

A damned good spanking!

... "Roxanne, you don't have to wear that dress tonight..."
I think not.
And I'll wear any dang dress I want, LOL. Though I don't put on red lights- much to other's sorrow I'm sure, LOL.

DT- "Bitch?" ROFLMTO you poor poor thing!

I get songs stuck in my head all the time, and most of the time it is songs I absolutely hate... Maybe subconsciously my brain is trying to treat me in a masochistic way :(

The last one has been from The Sound of Music, after my fiancé watched the movie on BBC the other day... And I can't stand that musical what so ever!

The cure - put on some music you really like, wear a headset, and PLAY IT LOUD!!! :D

In my house we call that "Small World disease," because It's a Small World After All is the worst possible song to get stuck in your head. The only way I can get rid of it is to do something that requires all my concentration, like a really hard cross word puzzle, or math, or something like that.

Ugh

Today it was Hey Ya by Outkast.

"Alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright........"

Kill me now.

THE NONE TOO FAMOUS SONG STUCK IN MY HEAD CURE BY SKYLINE:

Step 1: Learn to sing a song in a language you are not fluent in.

Step 2: Sing this song whenever annoying song stuck in your head.

Step 3: Repeat until song gone.

Note to you: This only works if you are incapable of continuing to think of those words because they are not of your tongue. My favorite? Aluette - i think it's about a bird. Works like a charm.

That song makes me cry... and is probably my favourite of their material. Second place would be tied beteen "I Believe in You" and "Wake Me Up Inside". I want the new band version so bad!!! Too bad there are no plans to release it as a single on this continent.

Just FYI... getting a song stuck in your head is called "earworms".

LOL I'm a Med Tech (do everything a civie nurse does and then some) and I've seen "Earworms" and they didn't come from any song. YUCK!!!:p

Skyline Blue- I'd do that but I'm used to having songs in other languages on as background noise, normally Japanese but some Celtic and Europian stuff too.

To i have they might be giants Song Bird house in your soul stuck in my head

"Not to put to fine a pun on it Say im the only bee in your bonet Build me a bird house in your soul"

I have a Korean friend and she listens to Korean Pop and when she sings along.... SOOooo adorable. But she's just way cute.

Guess it doesn't work everyone, but like I said, you have to be unfamiliar with thinking/listening to foreign languages. I have to concentrate on the words to sing them so when I stop, the words vanish and no more songs in my head!
