Ever feel like you are on the island of misfit toys?

I'm 48 yr old male. I'm the first to admit I'm no Don Juan or look like a model. Having said that I just wonder what about guys who look like me get thrown away when we are just either being nice or helpful. I'm an old school gentleman with new age thinking. I'm kind and honest but also have a good mind and a romantic heart. Still I find myself in my life and here alone for the most part because I'm not some super stud bad boy every woman seems to want. I love who I am and I'm not about to become some asshole line slinger just to fool women into any situation. So my real question is are guys like me just discarded misfit toys?

You sound like a gentleman, keep doing what you do, and don't change because you think you have to look or be like someone else. Old school is very nice.

I just wanted to post that, I'm not sure what advice I can give, but I admire personality and kindness.
