Yep, waste of money buying cat toys. Just give them a box or bag or balled up piece of paper and they're happy. He does have a special relationship with his scratching post.

i know just how you feel, i put my Sassy down in January.
i know i still miss her. She was a great dog. (chow chow)

just remember all the fun times you had with your cat and it does help get over the sadness. it usually works for me.

My Cheyenne loves the little plastic ring that seals the milk bottles the best of all toys. She can hear me open a new bottle of milk from the other end of the house and is standing there immediately waiting for me to throw it for her to play with. Unfortunately, many of the plastic pieces end up underneath my refrigerator.

Her second favorite toy is rolled up foil from the cover of a piece of chocolate candy. Little foil balls make great toys for playing "fetch." Especially in bed at 2 a.m. Roll over on a foil ball with bare skin...

My cat is nearly 15 years old, but she still loves boxes. I thought I had lost her a few weeks ago & finally found her curled up in a box that was inside another box.
