So recently i was doing a little spring cleaning on my computer and I came across a story and a poem that I had written a long time ago. Only I didn't remember writing them. Even when I read them over and over I didn't remember. I know I wrote them from the style and my usual typos, but I have no memory of it. (I know I wasn't on anything either, so its not a drug induced amnesia). Anyone ever had a similar experience? Just curious.

Too often. It comes from writing too much.

I have two solutions:

1. I have a file folder in my fiction area marked "Others" to distinguish stories I have downloaded from someone else from my own.

2. Almost all my drafts start with a dated copyright notice from me. Then I know that I wrote it and when. I've slipped occasionally but it try to put that notice in before I write a word.

Yes. They're in my 'Miscellaneous' folder. Maybe I do something with them someday....or maybe not. It's not unusual for me to leave a story for a few years, and then come back to it. The ones I've completely blanked out are a nice surprise.
