Evening dress

I don't know where to go, here. And I don't have a lot of time for shopping, so online is the way to go for me. I would like to have a dress made for me, but the time factor again. :( This one, though, I like. Just looking at it makes me feel comfortable. And I never wear dresses. (ick) Ain't no girly-girl. Hehe

Ahh. This cheers me immensely. :)

As for the size, well, women keep saying size doesn't matter. ;) Easy to say, yes? I am one size for the top, and a different one for the bottem. :( Plays hell in finding something to wear.

April

Sorry, I was putting together my post while you were posting that you found a dress. Your choice is quite simple, but it's elegant and I'm sure it will look gorgeous on you. It needs a simple necklace and earrings, and strappy heeled sandals. Closed toe shoes will make it look less formal. Hope you have fun!

Mischka, thank you. I forgot to look at Bluefly again. So I'm going to look. I'm sure you know how shopping is, you're never done, really. Even after you've checked out and paid. ;)

The dress you posted is beautiful, and I had looked at it before. I'm a little shy about wearing something even that moderately low-cut.

So, still looking.

If you like the column look with a wrap, this one is a classic choice for a military event:

I love that one... and $100 is better than I'd hoped for.

Wonder if it would make me look shorter though? For some reason, I'm convinced that a long dress isn't flattering on me. I'm wearing simple black open toe heels that are 3-4 inches tall, so I know I won't BE short, just don't want to look short.

There's nothing to worry about. Ankle length dresses (not the sweeping-the-floor-behind-you length) make anyone look taller. Plus the bare shoulders balances the skirt and elongates the figure. Open toed heals would be an ideal choice for that dress, too.

Goin shoppin with the girls tomorrow, hopefully I'll find something then.

I suppose picking out a dress would be easier if I wore something besides jeans and Docs on a daily basis. The guys have it so easy... buy the tux, rent a new vest/tie each year... :(

Its gorgeous! You are going to look stunning, have it altered to fit you though...either that or go out and get yourself a sexy pair of high heels to bring the hem up.

It's the one from Nordstrom that's a bit long. A little bit big in the chest, too, but that's what happens when you're cursed with a bubble butt. LOL

The other one, posted above, I'm thinking about ordering. Best to hold off until tomorrow. After I find out if my car is gonna drop the tranny or not. ;)

Oh, Bob of the hairy-sexy-naked chest, I love that second dress.

I'll be PMing my measurements and address and you can ship it right over.

You're a babydoll.

:)

Better if you include several hundred nude pictures - just so I get the measurements right :D

What good is spending a lifetime getting women out oftheir clothes if I can't also help them find the right ones to get into

Sorry, but those model shots don't cut it and those high fab 5th avenue dresses will surely burn a hole through your pocket book. April, I tried looking for my Cosmo mags, yes I read Cosmo…sheesh! It had an artical how to find the perfect dresses online and it gave a guide to wha to look for depending on your body type. Where is it? Okay, I tried.

Thank you so much to the latest group to help. :)

Bob, the link is very valuable. I'm continuing my browsing tonight. Perhaps I will find something.

The first dress you posted is very nice, but suited to a woman with a slim figure. Unfortunately, my ass is not slim. LOL The second dress is beautiful. Maybe.

I hate being so unsure of what is appropriate. If only jeans, I would be ecstatic. ;) And hubby is no help. He doesn't know, either, and has less clue than I do.

On-the-verge, the thought is appreciated. Thanks. :)

Scrymettet, thank you also. The dresses are very nice.

*in a flurry of indecision*

Better post this before I forget again.

If anybody is interested, www.chadwicks.com is a fantastic site! Lots of very nice clothes at good prices. I'll see how their shipping does. :)
