For one I didn't say there was a "labor shortage" I said the workforce is depleted. Employers can't find workers since no one wants to work because "free money" every week and "no jab, no job."

And, of course the stock market is booming (because of the Fed discount window and low low low interest rates among other things). Meanwhile, food prices are also headed for the stratosphere and heating oil will quickly become a luxury item.

I also wonder what would be happening if there wasn't an eviction moratorium going on.

There is no labor shortage (or "workforce depletion", in Timmeh-speak).

Employers are now forced to compete for workers in the marketplace, and workers choose to no longer accept shitty working conditions at 2010-level wages.

Employers are forced to do one of two things: raise wages to attract candidates, or go to social media and complain that "nobody wants to work".
