Even I can't believe Bush said this

Holy shit!

Here's the lead and a few para's:

Washington post"

Some well-known Democrats have been flogging a recent Der Spiegel item that said President Bush had asked Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso, "Do you have blacks, too?"

Cardoso, a sociologist by training, was reported to have been stunned. National security adviser Condoleezza Rice is said to have quickly interjected: "Mr. President, Brazil has probably more blacks than the United States. Some say it is the country with the most blacks outside of Africa."

Wonder if it is true.

Yuh!

Stick to your core values

like terrorizing senior citizens about social security

And complaining about the Texans that will die for the dragging death of a black man, wont be charged with hate crimes.

The private sector seems to be addressing that problem. If more get on board, might not be a need.

I am interested in how you think the private sector is addressing the problem.

The article seems to say that it's only rumored Bush said that. Not that I like Bush, but I would really hope he isn't that ignorant.

One of the major drug companies has made all their drugs available for a flat fee of 15 dollars a month for each drug if you're on Medicare and make less than 18,000 as a single person. Not sure what the limit is on couples, 36,000 I think. We're in the process of getting our mom enrolled. One of her drugs, Aricept, is made by the company. The cholesterol drug isn't but they have their own brand. It should reduce her drug bill from almost 300 a month to 30 dollars a month. I started a thread about it last week. Didn't get a lot of interest.

so now you know.

WriterDom...saw your post about your Moms meds...just as an FYI, several of the drug companies are setting up programs for seniors. Many Doctors are aware and can help with the paperwork. We found out because my father-in-law is a dialysis patient and the cost for his meds is horrific.

Good luck with your Mom.

Kit

The Democrats are impotent pussies

Is that some world shaking news or what? When did this happen - over a year ago? BFD.

The Democrats can't get it up anymore. They can't criticize him for the economy. They damn sure can't for the anti-terror campaign without appearing foolish. His approval rating has them peeing in their pants. They have nothing new to bring to the table.

What to do next?

Look for more flatulence like this coming from the Left in the future. They're desperate, and they can't get it up anymore.

How dare you bring facts into this thread! If they keep this up, it will ruin the Democrats' scheme. Probably not. Next they will figure out a way to compete with the drug companies to see who gives the drugs away.

I think their battle cry for the next election should be
"I Have a Scheme."

It's sickening. They need to dump all their leadership. I don't know why more democrats aren't complaining. After November they will.

Speaking from the left, yes, our leadership sucks majorly. They are generally unimpressive in speech and thought. They also spend most of their time trying to comprimise with the right, instead of actually opposing the fuckers. You guys have nothing to worry about, because we will not be seeing a single liberal program get through without it being torn to shreds. And I am perfectly sure come next election, we are going to pull the same crap the Republicans did with Clinton's reelection, and offer our finest goobers to tear each other apart.

Well, the Republicans don't exactly have Abe Lincoln running for President, either. In fact, I can't think of anyone in either party who strikes me as a leader. There are quite a few who talk tough but nothing of substance ever comes out. Same old shit from both parties. Nothing to really believe in. Sounds like a lot of people end up holding their nose on Election Day, or vote for the candidate they dislike the least. The lesser of two evils.

If you vote for someone you don't really believe in, isn't THAT a wasted vote?

They compromised on the tax cut. Bush did on education. Outside of that, Dashole has dug a moat around the senate shit river.

Pfft. You know the only answer is the socialization of health care. Big buisness is ruining the idea of helping other people.
