Most important here is that the case led to the state changing the law regarding residency. Same thing happened in Oregon. Hopefully the other handful of states with similar laws will change theirs also.

There comes a point when people have no quality of life to look forward to.

All they have is a quality of death. Then, when they are forced to live beyond that point life is not a 'right' but a compulsion. Much like saying that if you rob a bank, you have the 'right' to go to jail.
