Euchre

I play and like the setup at pogo.com for Euchre--usually lots of palyers

...and I was thinking it was a musical instrument.

That's where I play. I know Yahoo has a site but I don't like their set up. I was curious if there were any others.

We should play sometime.

I played A LOT of Euchre back in the midwest, Euchre captial of the world... sorta...

:) its a great way to get confused though, I sucked as points keeper.

Sure you did. It's easier to bump up your points when you're confused. :p

It's actually my family game as well. Every single Saturday night supper at gram and gramp's house always evolved into at least 4 or 5 tables of euchre going on. I haven't played online though, never even really thought about it. Sounds like a good idea though, thanks.

That is true. That means you must be pretty darn good in order to not get caught. You bad boy! ;)

Brother? Sounds like we have the same family.

Give online a try. It's a lot of fun.

Yeap, and the "Why in hell would you lead the Right when you knew all I had was the Left" arguments never ended. There are actually a few of those still dragging on from the 70s that my dad won't let go of. I will check out that pogo place sometime.

Only played it in the Great Lakes states. And a lot at that.

Fun game :) And if you got twisted friends like I do. it can get you in a LOT of trouble in a relatively short period of time. Never play the truth or dare per trick game when playing euchre.

Just saying.

What's trump? Who lead?

We played Eurcher and spades in high school all the time... I didn't know it was a Great Lakes game? Interesting...

Have any of you ever played Polish euchre? It where you reverse your cards and have to call trump by the other player's hands? That's interesting.

I played 12 handed eucher (or something like that) years ago - it was really fun

Euchre is popular in Michigan. In Wisconsin, Sheephead is a lot more popular.

My family's game was pinochle. I heard of but never played euchre, bridge, or cribbage.
