I was thinking of a story idea, well a series storyline a couple meet in high school and had two weeks of romance and love before he was sent off to war. Before leaving the promises to return if only for two weeks, maybe he dies maybe he doesn’t but over the years the couple meet up from time to time and continue there love affair then he disappears until next time she needs him.

Yes it is but it leaves an uncertainanty, a question unanswered, is he alive or is he dead? Is he a ghost or just her mind playing tricks on her.

Possibilities:

1) He's alive and only returns to fuck with her.
2) He died but his ghost returns regularly to fuck with her.
3) He died and she hallucinates his regular returns.
4) He was/is a time-binding alien, so invent his motives.

For (2) and (3), he died on Valentine Day or some other holiday and reappears on that day each year. For (1) and (4) he's just plain mean.
