Within the world there were many races, hobbits, elves. And other beings a like, but there is one thing that is forbidden. But a elf falling for a human, he had a pendent around his neck. If he was to give her the pendent, that means that they are now mortal. Emily was madly in love with Legolas Greenleaf, a man she loved more then life. Legolas was teaching her his language and she was doing very well. Some ask why she is living in the kingdom of his people. She was fifteen, only 4 years ago. She is the kind of woman that wants to protect.

Closing her eyes, she could hear the birds. She felt the wind on her face, making her dark brown hair swaying. She was in the garden, some took her as a daughter. But there was a feel that some may hurt her. She opened up her eyes, a smile on her face. Standing up she walked half way hugging him.

"Oh Legolas ive missed you" she held onto him.

(this is open to someone wanting to be leolas, im just using the character, he has nothing to do with it, since personally I didn't like the movies. Open to who does a post. Legolas is in love but because of what he was.)

Legolas saw the young human, Emily, sitting down in the garden, her face radiant with happiness and a smile that could melt ice. He had always seen her as a child figure and sought to protect her. However due to the fact that she wanted to be a protector he had been forced to teach her elvaan and some very stringent morals that would hopfully see her through her life.

Emily got up and walked over to give Legolas a hug as she detected his presence. She seemed so innocent and pure.

"Legolas Ive missed you." Emily said as she was wrapped around him.

Legolas gently held her, and when she had finaly finished hugging him he asked her, "Why is it you miss me so? I was gone for not more than 30 minutes."

She looked at him and blushed "Easily, your my friend, and teacher" Letting him go. she began to wonder. Looking into his eyes, she was lost. She slowly walked to the bench, she ran her hand carefully over the flowers. "Sometimes I wish I was a elf, no one will ever want me because im two young." She looked down, placing her hands on her lap. "It's like im nothing." She admitted, and looked up into Legolas eyes.

Hearing that Legolas frowned as he tried to understand what she was saying. She was young, true, but she would never be a 'nothing'. He tried to think of a way to tell her this, it wasn't like there weren't millions of men out there that would jump at the chance, it was more that he himself had threatened the last one to do so.

Then the other part of what she said hit him, she wished to be an elf? "Why would you wish that," he wondered aloud as he tried to digest it, "If you were an elf you would have the same problems you have now, and all it would change is who you can be with for life. In fact it would lower your chances of ever finding a mate dramatically, as there are so few of us around nowadays."

Legolas wrapped her in his arms again and whispered in her ear, almost to low for her to hear him. "You will never be a nothing to me, and anyone who sees you as such is missing out on something special."

That said Legolas released her and motioned Emily over to the tree. "Come, this sounds like a long discussion."

she couldn't help but smile to what he said, she blushed a little bit. She closed her eyes as she felt him breath on her. He was everything, they moved to the tree beside him, she looked up. Seeing the lovely day, the sky very clear "As for me wanting to be an elf, maybe id be more lucky, but, I guess I am something" She said kindly. "Im glad im not a nothing" She looked down.

'You have done so much for me, you are the one that taught me your beautiful language" She smiled, looking into his eyes as she sat down. She did know thing, its said that if you love a mortal, that if a elf gives to the person, that that person would be mortal, to live as long as humans. She wondered if there was any truth behind it, she was to shy to even bring it up. She looked up, she saw the man before her, he is always so kind. But if he is protecting or saving someone. She knew if that would happen to her, he would be very protective.

'You have done so much for me, you are the one that taught me your beautiful language"

Legolas chuckled softly to this. "The only reason I taught you that is so that you could be the protector I know you want to be. I didn't teach it to you so that you would feel indebted to me." Legolas said as he tried to explain it to Emily, "I see myself as your father, and all I can hope is that I am doing right by you, For now and forever."

She couldn't help but smile and nodded "You are doing it, I always have faith in you" She moved her head a little more. "You are the only person that understands me, I like to think I understand you. I know you have been alive for this long, what ever your ages is" she stroked his cheek.
